While the prom king and queen continue to celebrate, Zeke and Gladys are still in their own little world, comforting each other for not having been chosen as prom king and queen.
Gladys: Seriously, Zeke, thanks for saying that you still feel like a winner tonight.
Zeke: That’s how I feel. Although maybe I’m being selfish.
Gladys: Selfish? Why?

Zeke: Because I’m only thinking about myself, but what about you? You did deserve to win.
Gladys: Again, that’s so sweet of you, but I won today too, you know?
Zeke: Really?
Gladys: Yes.
Zeke: That’s sweet, thank you.
Gladys: You’re welcome.

While Gladys steps away for a moment to use the ladies’ room, Shiho Fuji decides to make her move.
Shiho: Hi, Zeke.
Zeke: Hi, Shiho.
Shiho: Why are you all alone? Did your Cinderella have to rush off to her pumpkin?
Zeke: Nope, she just went to the restroom.
Shiho: I see… So tell me, how about we go out together sometime?
Zeke: Sounds tempting, but I already have a girlfriend, you know?
Shiho: Oh, honey, just because you’re on a diet doesn’t mean you can’t look at the menu.
Zeke: Good point, but I’m satisfied for now.

Shiho: Wow… Okay, just remember I’m around in case you change your mind.
Zeke: Uh, thanks, I guess.
Shiho: Anytime. Now, if you ever need to go on a real date, don’t hesitate to call me call me, okay?
Shiho is directly admitting she’s attracted to Zeke. He’ll have to be careful from now on, he doesn’t want Gladys to get the wrong idea.

Speaking of Gladys, she’s back from the rest room. Shiho disappeared just in time; though maybe not in time enough.
Gladys: What was Shiho doing here?
Zeke: Um, nothing, she just wanted to…
Gladys: Ask you out on a date?
Zeke: How did you know?
Gladys: Because that’s what she does with every new guy that comes to Bliss Bay.
Zeke: Really? Wow.
Zeke senses it’s time to get out of here. He doesn’t want to ruin such a perfect night by having to talk to the overly friendly Shiho again, so…
Zeke: Okay, guys, nice party, congrats to everyone, bye-bye.

Once outside the party…
Gladys: I can’t believe it, why is Shiho so repulsive?
Zeke: Gladys, please, just forget about her, okay?
Gladys: I can’t. How dare she get close to you like that.
Zeke: She didn’t get that close; I wouldn’t let her. Plus, she’s not around anymore. It’s just you and me now.

Zeke: The party’s over; soon they’ll turn on the lights and close this place down. Are we going to waste the few minutes we have left together talking about Shiho?
Gladys: Of course not, but… are you sure you’re not attracted to her?
Zeke: There’s only one girl I’m attracted to: you.
Gladys: Really?
Zeke: Yes.

Zeke proceeds to show her that he’s not just all talk…
It’s not their first kiss, but the other one was just a peck, while this feels like a serious kiss. Neither of them holds back, which leads them a bit further, until…
Gladys: Zeke, we should stop now.
Zeke: Should we? Why? Aren’t you liking it?

Gladys: Oh, I am liking it, trust me. A bit too much, really. I- I think we should take it slower.
Zeke: You’re absolutely right, I’m sorry, but… Did you really like it?
Gladys: A lot, yes.
Zeke: (Chuckles) I’m a quite the kisser, huh?

Gladys: (Giggling) Get over yourself, you little show-off!
Zeke: Why am I a show-off? It was just a simple question!
Gladys: Okay, the answer is yes, you kiss wonderfully, Mr. Wilson. Now can we get out of here? I wouldn’t want to run into a certain someone again.
Zeke: Okay, where do you want to go?

Gladys: I don’t know. Maybe we could go upstairs.
Zeke: Upstairs? You mean, like, back into the gym?
Gladys: No, I mean upstairs, to the school.
Zeke: You mean to a classroom? Hmm, that sounds interesting.
Gladys: I meant the hallways, silly. The classrooms are locked right now.
Zeke: The hallways. Not what I expected, but it works for me. Come on, let’s go.

Once upstairs in the school hallways, which are deserted at this hour, Zeke invites Gladys to the second dance of the night.
Zeke: The hallways, huh? How did you come up with such an idea?
Gladys: Actually, it’s not my idea, it’s tradition.
Zeke: Tradition? Does that mean everyone will come up here with their partners?
Gladys: Only the ones who became sweethearts.
Zeke: Really?
Gladys: Yes.

Zeke: That’s a nice tradition.
Gladys: It is.
Zeke: Are you sure no teacher is going to come and scold us for sneaking off here?
Gladys: (Laughs) I’m sure.
Gladys’s laughter sends shivers down Zeke’s spine, and he has to restrain himself not to drag her over to the lockers and kiss her again like he did earlier in the gym.
Gladys: What are you looking at?
Zeke: Nothing.

Zeke: I was just thinking about how happy I am that you agreed to be my girlfriend. I liked you from the very first day. Did you know that?
Gladys: I liked you, too. I tried not to show it, but I was really excited when you asked me to the prom.
Zeke: And here we are, together. Forever, I hope.

“Forever?” Zeke sure is optimistic. It’s only their first day as sweethearts, and he already feels like they’re engaged. The good news is that Gladys feels the same way. For now. Their relationship looks promising but… will it last?
Gladys: Well, it’s late; I have to go home.
Zeke: Yeah, me too.

Zeke: Will you dream about me tonight?
Gladys: Sure I will. And you, will you dream about me?
Zeke: I don’t even know if I’ll be able to sleep after our kiss by the lockers.
Gladys: (Blushing) Zeke, please, what are you saying?
Zeke: Sorry, but it’s true, I really liked it, I really like you.
Gladys: And I like you…
They share yet another kiss before saying goodbye as the first light of dawn breaks.

After walking Gladys to her ride, Zeke feels the need to sit down for a while to calm down and think. His heart is racing, and his head feels like it’s floating above the clouds.
When he gets home, he’s still wondering: how will he be able to sleep? It was just too many emotions all at once for a night!
