And we’re back with Tyron’s arrival in Dowon. He came alone at first, cause Brandi stayed with her grandparents in Hidden Springs while he sorted things out. During that time, he lived with some roommates: Kenichiro, Ara, and Skye, who showed him the ropes of life in Dowon and helped him settle in.

Winter caught him by surprise as soon as he arrived. Ty is used to it, since he comes from Hidden Springs, a pretty cold town in the mountains, but honestly, Dowon is much colder than Hidden Springs.

Here he is with his favorite roomie and best friend, Kenichiro Goto. Ken, as he calls him, not only helped him adjust to life in Dowon, but also to cope with the homesickness that came from moving to a new city, starting a new life, and the winter. (Unfortunately, between the updates, the changes in lot sizes, and the switch to the new engine, I lost Kenichiro. I’m currently working on getting him back, since he’s Ty’s only true friend in Dowon.)

Ara Jo, in the background, was also a great friend to Tyron, but Ty had to distance himself from her because Ara started having feelings for him. Ty didn’t dislike her at all, but he couldn’t return her feelings, since he’s in a serious relationship with his girlfriend Kayla.

Kenichiro and Skye Brown, the third roommate. Ken was annoyed that day because Skye insisted on cleaning the mouse while he was trying to work, lol. By the way, Skye’s last name (Brown) makes me think she’s related to Kaitlyn. In my head, they’re cousins, and someday they’ll meet again. Actually, Martin met Skye once, I won’t tell you what happened then, though, cause that belongs in another story, so we’ll see about this later. 😉

Tyron and Kenichiro, making their way through the city in the middle of a blizzard. That winter was really tough, and the blizzard lasted for days!

Despite how harsh that winter had been, the imminent arrival of Brandi and Kayla gave Tyron reason to hope.

Building snowmen brought him joy too. He had been practicing so he could make the best ones and surprise Brandi when she arrived.

And since no winter lasts forever, spring finally returned to Dowon…

And along with it came our little Brandi. She’s a child now, (not a toddler, for the reasons I explained in a previous post). Next, I’ll tell you how I integrated Brandi and her mother Candice, into my Inzoi game. It wasn’t an easy task!

In order to create Brandi in Inzoi while maintaining her connection to her mother, I had to “recreate” Tyron’s marriage to Candice, which meant creating her from scratch. Here above we see a first version of Candice (with long hair), which I later refined to make her look more like her Sims 3 self. Another detail is that, since there’s no genetics in the game yet, I used Tyron as a base to create Brandi, that’s why they look so much alike. Which makes sense because Brandi definitely takes after her father, not just physically but in many other ways as well.

When I recreated Tyron and Candice’s marriage, I also had to recreate their divorce. That wasn’t easy either. In fact, it was hard to watch them go through this again, especially with InZOI’s level of realism, and with one additional complication: here, Brandi is already a young girl, so she experienced the trauma of divorce alongside her parents.

Yeah, those were definitely difficult times for the whole family.

But without a doubt, Tyron was the one who suffered the most from all of this.

Luckily, Kayla arrived at Dowon just in time.

She literally went through his divorce with him as well and was a great help in supporting him during this difficult time.

Poor Ty, I had to put him through this twice, but it was necessary to maintain the family ties between him, Brandi, and Candice. I hope they release a cheat code soon to add family ties, it’s much needed! Oh, I wish Twallan (Nraas), would join InZOI and save us, lol.

Here’s a photo of Kayla from when I first edited her; I’ve edited her a bit since then, I may have tweaked her eye color slightly, but this is basically her.

And here’s a post-april update photo of Ty, now in his new home. I had to change the expression on his face using the camera mode tool because he kept making sad faces, lol. Come on, Ty, get over it already. 😅

Finally, here are three photos of Tyron with one of the hairstyles I tried on him; it’s Arrogant Hair by Niven. I wanted this hair cause it’s very similar to what Ty had in The Sims 3, but in order to use it I had to heavily adjust Tyron’s facial structure, which made him look slightly different. Then CAZ bugged out, preventing me from adjusting the mouth size or nose height and other details and I ended up with a really weird chin. (Is anyone else having issues with the CAZ sliders?) Anyway, I left that hair on hold and returned to Tyron’s regular InZOI hair.

BONUS PIC. I’m also sharing this photo (and probably a spoiler) of Tyron and Kayla testing the new romantic interaction, Kiss on the Table. It’s interactions like this that make it worth it for us storytellers to keep playing InZOI. Thank you Kjun, and thank you all too for reading this far! ❤️
