It’s been raining in Bridgeport lately. It’s early in the morning, yet Roderick and Suzy already look tired and, honestly, a bit bored. It’s not just the rain that’s keeping them indoors right now, but also the duties they share as parents of their young daughter, Doreen.

Suzy: Sorry for asking you to stay home all the time but taking care of Doreen has become exhausting.
Roderick: Don’t worry, babe, I’m here for you whenever you need me. Go on, distract yourself for a bit; I’ll take care of Doreen.
Suzy: Really? Oh, thank you so much, honey.

Roderick really wants to support Suzy with this, so he took it upon himself to keep an eye on Doreen while she had a little fun on the computer.

But honestly, he’s starting to feel a little claustrophobic being cooped up at home all the time.

I mean, the city is out there, with all its fascinating things, while he has to stay here taking care of a baby. Sometimes he wonders if it was a good idea to have another child at his age, instead of making the most of the last few years of energy and health he has left. It’s not that he regrets having Doreen, but… yeah, he misses his freedom a little bit.

A very different story from his father’s is that of Randy Kingston, who is quite happy with a full house.

There’s his daughter Samantha, from his first marriage to Deidre Littler.

His children Roddy and Megan, from his second marriage to Belisama Hemlock.

And little Ryan, the son of Randy and his current fiancée, Elspeth Cook, who is still a toddler and growing very quickly, which convinced Randy that maybe it was time to tie the knot with Elspeth.

As soon as the news of Randy and Elspeth’s upcoming wedding spread among the family, Roderick didn’t hesitate to throw a big bachelor party for his beloved son.

A good excuse to get out of the house and let loose a little. Though Randy wasn’t entirely thrilled with such extravagant party.

Randy: Seriously, Dad, a party with dancers and alcohol?
Roderick: That’s what these things are usually like, isn’t it?
Randy: Yeah, except there are young children in this house. I sent them to bed early, but with all the noise, I don’t know if they’ll stay asleep.
Roderick: Of course they will. Come on, Randy, you need to relax a bit.
Randy: With all this? I don’t think so. And what are you wearing?
Roderick: This? Oh, well, it’s just my “I desperately need some fun” outfit.
