And we’re back at Cahaya’s Harmony High School, once again with our special guest today, André Langerak. I like to call him a guest because these are just trial runs, not official gameplay, so we’ll enjoy them while they last.

Like I said before, I had to go back to André’s childhood and age him up into an adolescent so he’d be the same age as the rest of his classmates, who are all adolescents too. Here’s André with his birthday cake, making a wish, which is probably for his siblings, Bradley, Jean, Henri, and Marlene, to join him and his parents in Cahaya soon.

There you go, now André is a teenager and he’s ready for his first day of school (again).

Arriving on time at Harmony High.

It seems his arrival piqued his classmates’ curiosity, but André isn’t exactly a newcomer, since he comes from an island too, a different one, but he’s no stranger to the tropics.

In the previous post, we left André in the library/computer room, so we’ll pick up from there.

Back there, his new classmates are having a lively conversation; hopefully he’ll be able to fit in soon, too.

The bell has rung; it’s time for the first class.

André and the other two who were with him in the library are heading to the classroom.

A little kindness never hurts, so…
André: Hi, my name is André. What’s yours?
Lillian: …

It seems like this girl isn’t interested in talking.
André: Wow, what’s her problem?

The teacher just walked into the classroom. Seriously, who the heck does this guy think he is—Indiana Jones? XD

André: He doesn’t look any cooler than Dad.

Anyway, André is about to go about his business when…

Lillian: Hey, new kid, move it, that seat belongs to my friend.
André: Oh, so she can talk after all.
Saki: Leave him alone, Lil. There are still plenty of empty seats, as you can see.

André: Well, at least she was nice. I wonder what her name is? I’ll ask her later. It’ll be good to have an ally around here.

Hayoung: Newcomers sit in the front; the back seats are reserved for club members.
André: Club members, huh?

Mr. Yulianto: Miss Kang, please go to your seat; class is about to start. I’ll take care of assigning the seats.

Luckily for André, the snobby girl took off, and the nice girl sat down next to him.
Saki: Don’t pay any attention to her, she’s a pain. She’s like that with everyone.
André: Really?
Saki: Yes.

Saki: Don’t take anything she says seriously.
André: Okay.
Saki: She’s just bitter because the guy she likes is dating someone else.
André: Wow.
Saki: I’m Saki Tanaka, by the way.
André: André Langerak.
Saki: Nice to meet you, André.

Saki: You’re not much of a talker, are you?
André: Well, it’s hard when nobody will talk to you.
Saki: Cut them some slack, you’re new, and you come from another “world,” so to speak.
André: Yeah, that’s true.

Saki: They’ll adjust. And so will you. Just don’t take them too seriously, especially Lillian and Hayoung.
André: Okay, thanks for the tip.
Saki: No problem.

André: To be honest, it would be really hard to take someone like Lillian Austin seriously. It always seems like she has something stuck up her… well, you know.

It’s lunchtime, and André is arriving at the cafeteria.
André: Man, this looks more like a market than a school cafeteria.

André: The menu doesn’t look very appealing, but I’m starving, so I’m not going to be picky.

He ended up sitting with the two girls who ignored him earlier. Too bad Saki isn’t sitting here; André assumes it’s because she’s at the “champions’” table.

Hayoung: Can someone explain to me why I have to sit at the nerds’ table?
André: (To himself) Maybe so you can learn some manners or pick up a little intelligence, I guess.

Sanae: Ignore her, she’s upset because she didn’t get a seat at the main table.
André: What’s at the main table?
Sanae: Football players, cheerleaders, you know, the popular people.
André: I see.
Well, at least this other girl is already talking to him.

Mr. Yulianto: Is everything okay, here? Are your classmates treating you well Mr. Langerak?
André: Uh, yes, everything’s fine, Mr. Yulianto.
Mr. Yulianto: Good. Welcome to our school, Mr. Langerak.
André: Thank you, sir.

André: What’s with the hat? Is it part of the teachers’ uniform?
Sanae: (Laughs) Of course not, only Mr. Yulianto wears it. His idol is Indiana Jones.
André: You’re kidding.
Sanae: No, it’s true! (Continues laughing)

André: I like the Fedora, it’s cool. My dad wears one, too, but he’s an explorer anyway.
Sanae: An explorer? Wow.
André: He’s also a professional diver, winemaker, and writer.
Sanae: Sounds super cool.
André: Yeah, my dad’s pretty cool… sometimes. Sorry, your name is…?
Sanae: Sanae. Sanae Ito.
André: Nice to meet you. I’m André.

André feels pretty comfortable talking with Sanae, but he needs to mingle a bit if he wants to meet more people. And there’s a girl at the other table who’s caught his eye.
André: Do you mind if I leave you for a little while? I have to…
Sanae: Sure, it’s lunchtime, so it’s okay to socialize.
André: Thank you.

André: Hi, can I sit here?
Chaeyun: Well, you already did, didn’t you? Plus, everyone else left, so I don’t think it’s a problem.
André: Sure. Oh, my name is André. What’s yours?
Chaeyun: I’m Chaeyun.
André: Nice to meet you, Chaeyun. Tell me, do you already have a date for the prom?

Chaeyun: Aww, that’s sweet of you to ask, but yes, my friend Hayoung and I are going together.
André: Hayoung, of course.
Chaeyun: But thanks anyway, Andrew.
André: It’s André.
Chaeyun: Sure. Anyway. I have to go. Bye, André.
Well, that went to hell really fast.

André will have to think of someone else to go to the prom with. But that’s for another day, he’s had enough of girls for today, and he needs to focus on his chemistry class.

Well, it was a long day, but it’s over now.

It’s time for André to go home. It wasn’t so bad after all; we’ll see what happens tomorrow.

Back home, doing his homework and thinking about the girls he met today. To be honest, Saki, Lillian, Sanae, and Chaeyun are all really pretty. Chaeyun turned down his invitation, so she’s out of the picture. Who could he invite, then? Maybe he should just go to the prom alone? Or with a friend? But he doesn’t have any friends there yet. Anyway, it’s only Monday, he has the whole week ahead of him to think about who to ask. Maybe he’ll have better luck tomorrow.
