Starlight Shores, Tuesday 12 pm

While he thought about what to do with Katie O’Dourke’s arrival in Starlight Shores, Tyron went out to look for another job. Of course, he avoided walking near the Binder Clip Center so as not to run into her.

One place where he had yet to audition was the Flying V Coffee House, whose owner, Charlot Rebollado, was treated with the best version of Tyron’s well-rehearsed and highly polished Romantic Sing-a-gram.

Needless to say, Charlot was enchanted by Tyron’s voice, but she took a moment to think before telling him that the only slot left was Sunday night.

Most singers, especially established ones, prefer not to work on Sundays, but Tyron is a little desperate for money, so he took it.

Also, work is a good excuse to be away from home in case Katie decides to show up, so Sunday evening it is!

Thankfully, when he returned home there was no sign of Katie. Phew! It’s a very cold day in Starlight Shores, so maybe that stopped her. A little more relaxed, Tyron took time for a snack. It’s a bit cold outside, but that’s no problem for Ty cause he’s used to the freezing weather of Hidden Springs. ❄️☃️

After his lunch break, he had the afternoon off, so he spent it teaching Brandi how to talk. I mean, Brandi knows a few words and knows how to ask for things, but she doesn’t really talk more than necessary, so this looks like a good time to learn.

Tyron: Okay, Brandi, repeat after me: table, chair, cat, dog…
Brandi: …

Well, it seems that Brandi isn’t very talkative today.

Tyron: Oh, come on, Brandi, if you want to be accepted at school one day, you need to learn some new words.
Brandi: No. No school!

Tyron: What do you mean ‘no school’? You don’t even know what school is.
Brandi: No school. I want mommy!

Tyron: Jeez, Brandi, not that again.
Brandi: Mommy coming?
Nop. Candice isn’t coming back any time soon, at least not that Tyron knows of.

Maybe it’s time to call her and arrange a visit, but how and when? With all the work Tyron has lined up, and with Kayla here. Not to mention the threat of Katie showing up any minute now! Ugh, why is being a parent so hard? 🤷‍♂️
