Starlight Shores, early afternoon…

Tyron is back home with Brandi. All indications are that the babysitter took good care of her.
(Yes, Tyron, you’re on camera again, buddy).

Since he was a little tired, he tried to leave Brandi in the playpen a while to go take a shower and maybe a nap, but she refused and started crying, so off she goes again.

Ty is starting to realize that being a single dad isn’t as easy as he thought it would be. Yet he has no regrets about fighting for Brandi’s custody.

Tyron: All right, Brand, time for lunch, I suppose you’re hungry.

He’s also just realized he has no idea what to give Brandi for lunch. Other than a bottle, he does not know how to prepare anything else, so it’s best to let the babysitter take over.

While Brandi has her meal, Tyron takes the opportunity to practice a little karaoke. It will come in handy for his upcoming auditions.

As always, he puts all his feeling into it, but also a bit of stress. He worries about not giving it his 100% as a singer. You know, this is Starlight Shores…

And his aunts Miranda and Michelle have set the bar very high.

Doesn’t matter. Tyron is a Cho; singing is in his blood. He can handle this and much more!

Well, enough for today, time to go see how Brandi did with her babysitter and lunch.

Everything must be in order, since Tara, the babysitter was watching him sing without him noticing, and she seems impressed! Well, at least that means he didn’t do too poorly.

Anyway, time to practice with the guitar, hopefully Tara will stay by Brandi’s side this time.

He had barely started playing when she called him from downstairs. There seems to be a bit of a problem.
(By the way, Tyron is still wearing his wedding ring. Looks like he hasn’t gotten used to the idea that he’s divorced).

He arrives with Brandi in a matter of seconds; the problem seems to be potty training.
Tyron: Brandi, why didn’t you let Tara help you potty train?
Brandi: No Tara. I want mommy.
Tyron: …

Tyron: Uh, Brandi, I already explained to you that mommy can’t come here.
Brandi: She working?
Tyron: That’s right, but you’ll see her on spring break, okay?

Luckily Brandi soon forgot about it, everything went well with the potty, but…
Brandi: Daddy, I hungry.
Tyron: Again?
Brandi: (Nods)
Tyron: Ok, no problem, Tara will cook you something.

But Tara is nowhere to be found. Apparently, she went out to run some errands. Tyron already gave Brandi her bottle, but it looks like it wasn’t enough.
Brandi: I hungry, daddy.
Tyron: I know, sweetie, I’ll see what I can do.

Nothing safer and easier than a bowl of cereal, now we’ll see if Brandi accepts it…

It seems to be to her liking. Yay!

The cereal saved the day. For now. Problem solved, but where the hell is Tara?

A FEW HOURS LATER…

Tyron: Tara, what happened, where were you? It’s almost dark!
Tara: Sorry, Mr. Cho, but I use public transportation and there was a lot of traffic.

Tyron: Okay, no more mid-shift outings. If you need anything, you’ll buy it before you come or on the way out, is that clear?
Tara: Yes, Mr. Cho.
Tyron: And no more “Mr. Cho”, it makes me feel like 70. I’m just Tyron, okay?
Tara: Okay.

The afternoon flew by, it’s time to put Brandi to bed, which is something Tyron personally takes care of.

Tyron: Good night, sweetie, sleep tight.

Brandi: Daddy, stay.
Tyron: I’m sorry, honey, but Daddy needs to sleep too.

After a bit of protesting, Brandi finally falls asleep.

Tyron is so tired he calls off his guitar practice, what he needs is a good rest, he has a busy day ahead of him tomorrow, both with Brandi and with music.
