(The Saga Continues)

141.

Back from his classes while Kelly is training, Dale receives a phone call. From the heat of their conversation, it’s not hard to guess who’s on the other end of the line.

After hanging up, Dale looks concerned.

Kelly: Who called?
Dale: Terry, he wants me to drop out of college and go work in one of his bars. He says he’ll give me a good salary and part of the profits.
Kelly: What? Oh, no. No, no, no. You waited a long time to get here, you worked hard studying for the admission test, and now he wants to ruin it? Well, I’ll tell you right now, over my dead body.
Dale: You shouldn’t say things like that, Kel. Especially not in front of Terry.
Kelly: Your brother’s an idiot, he calls himself the Emperor of Evil, but he wouldn’t hurt a fly. I’m not afraid of him.
Dale: …

142.

Time to dot the i’s and cross the t’s, Kelly decides to send Terry a message to leave Dale alone.
Kelly: Well, let’s see…

“Dear Terence, would you stop bothering Dale? He’s not going to drop out of college to go work in your stupid bar, he’s going to have his own bar someday. So for once, mind your own business. Cheers. — Kelly.”
Kelly: Done. Send!

143.

Dale: Terry called again, he says you wrote him a message telling him to go to hell, is that true, Kel?
Kelly: Yes, it was the least he deserved for trying to ruin your career.

Dale: If you want my advice, I don’t think you should send him another message like that.
Kelly: Why not, do you think he’s going to do something to me?
Dale: Well, you never know with Terry.

Kelly: Come on, have you forgotten the time I slapped him already? He didn’t touch me one bit. You know why? Because he’s afraid of you, you’re taller and stronger than him. He’s the one who should be afraid of you, not you of him.
Dale: Of course I’m not afraid of him. I mean, he is my brother.
Kelly: Well, I’m not afraid of him either. Or do you think I should be?

Dale: I think you should control your temper, baby. Sometimes you go over the edge. And Terry can be very nasty if he sets his mind to it. He could give you a hard time.
Kelly: Okay, I won’t text him again. Just promise me you won’t give up your career to work at his stupid bar.
Dale: Don’t worry, my goals are well defined.

Dale: Terry will have to find another manager, cause I’ll have my own bar, my own business and my own money – lots and lots of money!
Kelly isn’t sure if that’s what she wanted to hear, but at least she has peace of mind knowing that Dale won’t be dropping out of the University.

144.

Time for bed, Dale is already asleep. It was a tiring day for him.

Kelly is also falling asleep but is worried about Dale.

They both have dreams and goals in common, they both want to succeed in their careers, but Dale is obsessed with making a lot of money, that could make him stray from the path… like Terry, or become obsessed with fame, like Tyron. Let’s hope that’s not the case.

Anyway, tomorrow will be another day. The important thing is that they are together and that they agree on everything. For the time being.

145.

In the end, neither of them could sleep, so Kelly and Dale went out to the backyard to play juice-pong. Kelly is winning.

This bothers Dale too much. Beaten by a girl at juice-pong? No way!
Oh, the neighbors were out playing too, they couldn’t sleep either, or maybe it’s this unusual heat for an autumn night.

Kelly scores again.
Dale: What? No!
Kelly: Yes!

The rules say he has to drink, that doesn’t bother Dale at all. Especially since it’s not “juice,” but beer. (At his suggestion).

146.

Dale: Okay, here goes nothing.
He drinks the whole glass, to the bottom, without protest.

And it’s his turn again.
Dale: Ready to lose?

Kelly: Ha! We’ll see about that!

Dale makes his shot and…

… scores.

147.

Dale: Ha, ha, yesss!

Dale: That’s it, now pay de price, babe.

Kelly: Okay, no big deal, I know how to pay my debts.
Dale: You’d better.

Kelly drinks like there’s no tomorrow.
(And maybe there isn’t, because tomorrow she’ll be so drunk, she won’t be able to get up for her classes.) 🤔

148.

Kelly: Okaaay, it’s time for a rematch.

Kelly: Are you ready?
Dale: Sure, give me your best shot. There’s no way you can’t beat me.

But then Kelly scores again.
Dale: No!
Kelly: Oh, yes.

Kelly: I win, you lose. Now, drink, baby!

Dale: …

149.

Kelly: Ha, and you said I couldn’t beat you.

Kelly: What do you say now, huh, D?
Dale: I say the game is over.

Kelly: Do you surrender?
Dale: Yes.

Kelly: Do you recognize me as the winner?
Dale: Without a doubt.
Kelly: Won’t you ask for a rematch?

Dale: Hm. I’d rather play something else.
Kelly: Any suggestions?
Dale: I have one, yes.

It looks like Kelly already knows what Dale’s suggestion is. And she agrees. 😉

150.

Dale continues to hone his public speaking skills.

Kelly still struggles with Anatomy, i.e., she wants to be a model, not a doctor.

151.

Some of the classes are incredibly boring for Dale. (Especially when no one but him attends). He’d rather be at the bar, or at some party, mixing drinks. But, well, he promised his parents that he’d get a degree.

152.

Why does it always have to rain when Kelly has her Anatomy practice?

Now she is soaked to the bones, literally

153.

It rained most of the day, but at least when it stopped you could see the rainbow.

154.

Another day, another call from Hidden Springs, this time it’s not Terence, but Cynthia, she wants him to help her convince Terry to leave the Vanderburg mansion. Dale honestly doesn’t think Terence will listen to him, that’s how stubborn he is. Besides, he promised Kelly he wouldn’t get between Terry and Cynthia anymore.
Dale: (On the phone) I’m sorry Cyn, but I can’t help you on this, I have to hang up now, Kelly is arriving.

Kelly: Who were you talking to? Your brother again?
Dale: No, that was Cynthia.
Kelly: Dale…
Dale: Don’t worry, she just wanted to tell me about her problems with Terry.
Kelly: Really?
Dale: You know you don’t have to worry about her anymore.
Well, at least Dale didn’t lie to her about this phone call.

She, on the other hand, didn’t tell him a peep about her new friend, Miles Forthright, the attractive boy she met after class today. Rumor has it he’s a vampire, which makes him even more interesting.

Anyway, if she didn’t tell him about Miles, it’s because it’s not worth worrying about. She doesn’t care about him in the least, she’s still madly in love with Dale, and she’s wasting no time proving it to him.  Thank goodness both of their classes are over for now. 💗

155.

Just a close up of Kelly.

156.

Kelly is eating breakfast after her workout today, she’s ready to attend her first class of the day.

Dale’s class is later in the afternoon. He’s also been training and already had breakfast, so he has fun dancing for a while. He’ll use the rest morning to prepare for his class.

Kelly leaves for campus in the rain. Thank God she brought her car with her.

Dale, checking the internet before starting his schoolwork.

…..

By the way, the house Dale and Kelly currently live in at the University is Green Beauty, by evanell. You can find it here. Several of my sims from different generations have stayed in this house. It’s been in my game for ages, it’s one of my favorite lots and my sims seem to be very happy in it, so many thanks to its creator!

157.

Dale finished with his online activities.

Now to prepare for class.

Dale: This will be the best Business presentation you have ever seen!

158.

Meanwhile, Kelly is bored to death in Prof. Lovelace’s class.

She has been raising her hand for a long time and the teacher doesn’t even see her. (Even though she’s the only one in the classroom).

Kelly: Hello? Professor? I have a question!
(She later regretted asking because the professor went on too long with his answer and Kelly almost fell asleep. Whew, that’s how boring the class was).

Home at last. Dale had already left for his class. Kelly called him to wish him luck with his presentation. 😊

159.

Dale, on his way to his business class. It has stopped raining, but it is still very cloudy.

160.

Dale excelled in his business presentation and impressed his classmates (especially female classmates).

It was the best explanation of how and why running your own bar can make you a rich man.

Dale: You learn to garden, grow your own ingredients for the mixes and learn two more important skills: Mixology and Nectar Making.

Dale: How do I raise the capital? Easy, I ask my millionaire brother and my famous brother to invest in my business.

Dale: Everything will go so well that both the two investors and the manager, that’s me, will be reaping the benefits in about a year. Simple, isn’t it? 😉
