As I mentioned, Tyler asked Yunseo to come to his house to talk, and she’s just arrived.

Yunseo knows this must be bad cause he invited her to his house, where he lives with his wife and daughters. Nobody would do that unless it’s to make a point and, of course, end the relationship.

And that was exactly what it was about. This comes as no surprise to Yunseo, but it still hurts.

Tyler: I’m sorry, Yun. You know I don’t want to do this, but staying together isn’t good for my family, much less for you.

Yunseo: Don’t worry, I understand. I knew from the beginning that this wasn’t right, and I would like your wife to know this isn’t who I am.

Yunseo: I don’t go around destroying homes, so I’ll step away. I wish you and your family a happy life.
Now Yun is being noble and generous, as she indeed is. Tyler expected nothing less from her, but it’s still painful.

With all this said, now comes the hardest part: saying goodbye. Neither of them dares to speak any more. Not even to express what they still feel for each other. Tyler doesn’t want to weaken, so, resisting the temptation to hug her, he carries on.
Tyler: I’ll… walk you out.
Yunseo: There’s no need.
Tyler: But I want to.
Yunseo: All right.

They both turn to the door, the back door, that is. They can’t use the front one. Some neighbor or passerby might see them, and Tyler doesn’t want anyone talking trash about Yunseo. At this point she doesn’t care which door she leaves through; she’s determined to walk out of Ty’s life for good.

But before she walks out, tears betray her.
Tyler: Yun, please don’t make this harder.

Yunseo: Forgive me, please. I don’t mean to complicate things; I just don’t want to be seen like this. So, just… give me a minute, okay?
Tyler admits it’s a reasonable request.
Tyler: Okay, sure.

Yunseo takes a few seconds to let it all out. Once again, Ty resists the urge to take her in his arms and comfort her.

She recovered quickly and is ready to leave. Good thing, cause Tyler is definitely starting to falter. However, Yunseo has changed her mind about which door to leave through.
Yunseo: I’ll use the front door, if you don’t mind.
Tyler: Huh?

Tyler: You can’t. People in this neighborhood are quite nosy; if you leave through the front door, they’ll tear you apart.
Yunseo: So what? Everyone in town knows anyway. I won’t leave your life through the back door; I want to at least go out with dignity, if you will allow me.

Tyler lets her be. She’s right, the least he owes her is her dignity. The kitchen door, which opens onto the alley, was not exactly a dignified exit.

This may be the last time he sees her as Yun just resigned from her position at Adam Entertainment, so he won’t be able to catch her there anymore.

Tyler: (Holding his tears) Goodbye Yun.
Tyler may not understand it now, but it’s for the best for both of them. Also for Weizhi and the girls.

Yunseo did understand, though. It’s better to say goodbye in time than to stay in a relationship that would complicate everyone’s lives.

Sure there’s a wonderful young man out there waiting for her with open arms to give her the love that a kind soul like her deserves. ❤️
