Here we see Allan during his walk through Henford-on-Bagley. But what place is he visiting?

Oh, no, Al. Tell me this is not a bar.

It is a bar, but fortunately, Allan decided not to stay.

He resisted the temptation and ran home. He’ll probably get bored there, but he’ll keep his promise not to drink again.

Another ordinary day in Del Sol Valley. Allan has just returned from his daily walk.

He doesn’t seem very cheerful, perhaps because he’ll have to spend the day alone, as Zoe is at work and the kids at school.

The only one at home is Apollo, who is peacefully eating in the kitchen.

As soon as he saw Allan, he got ready to play with him.

But Allan was tired, so he went straight to the bedroom for a nap. (With his glasses on, of course, typical absent-minded Allan).

After his nap, he feels just as tired.
Allan: “Wow, I look like crap!”
Of course, and through those glasses he must look even worse. 😄

Coming out of the bathroom…
Allan: Apollo, kitty, kitty, you around?
No, Apollo got tired of waiting and is probably taking a nap somewhere in the garden.

Al doesn’t feel like going out, and since he doesn’t have any gigs lined up, he decides to try his luck with painting. Problem is, he doesn’t know what to paint.

No matter how hard he thinks, he can’t come up with anything. A drink would help, but that’s not an option.
Allan: Mm, maybe a portrait would be a good start…

Allan: You have to watch the proportion. This canvas is a good size, so it shouldn’t be a problem.

After a few doodles, Allan finally gives up.
Allan: Yeah, I may have achieved success as an actor, but as a painter, I definitely suck.

He decided to forget about painting and go for a swim in the pool. On his way downstairs, he ran into Daisuke, the Wilsons’ cleaning assistant.
Daisuke: Hey, Al.
Allan: Hey, Daisuke.

Seeing Daisuke makes his day, but it also makes him feel sad.

Let’s not forget Daisuke was one of Allan’s first crushes. Actually, it was a little more than a crush. They were very young then. I can’t remember if that was before or after Zoe, but obviously Al chose Zoe, and he doesn’t regret it. Apparently, neither does Daisuke, or so I believe.

And apparently neither of them holds a grudge, since Daisuke has continued working for the Wilsons. In fact, he’s been with them for years and is a very good friend of Zoe’s.
Daisuke: Well, Al, my shift is over. It was nice to see you.
Allan: Wait, how about you stay a while? I was just about to go for a swim. Wanna join me?
Daisuke: Uh, sure, why not?

Allan: Yes! At last, someone I can talk to.

Allan quickly put on his swimsuit and jumped into the pool. Here comes Daisuke…

Allan’s been slacking off lately and isn’t in very good shape, so he got tired quickly.

Daisuke, on the other hand, has a lot of energy and is enjoying himself to the fullest. Nothing seems to be getting him out of that pool anytime soon.

Allan: (Sigh) And I thought I’d have someone to talk to.

But Daisuke is too busy enjoying the high life to talk right now.

Well, looks like it’s going to be another lonely afternoon for Allan.

Please note that these photos are from November 2023, before Allan and his family lost their home in Del Sol Valley and therefore belong to my label “Del Sol Valley Memories.” In them, I try to portray what led Allan to move alone to Bliss Bay (Inzoi) to reflect on his life, marriage, and family.
