Tyron returns home, still regretting not being able to convince Kayla to come with him.

Walking into his bedroom, he was afraid he might find Katie there again, but luckily, she wasn’t.

Thank goodness she’s already sleeping in the guest room now. For a moment, Tyron considers waking her up to send her to a hotel right away, but it wouldn’t be nice to get her out at this time of night.

Plus, he’s exhausted after the concert and the stress of his encounter with Kayla. Tomorrow will be a difficult day with the gig at Los Sueños Private Club and the hassle of getting Katie out, so he desperately needs some sleep.

Already Thursday Morning…

The next morning, Brandi’s babysitter arrives on time. The agency sends a different person every day.

Today’s pick, Rachel Gibson, seems to be a pretty efficient girl.

And most importantly, she and Brandi are getting along. The day looks set to be perfect, except for one thing, or rather, one person…

Katie, who has gotten up early too and apparently is hungry, since she has shamelessly made herself a grilled cheese sandwich.

As if she were in her own home, she sits down in the dining room to enjoy it alone, cause at 6 a.m., no hope of Tyron being awake.

With the first faint rays of sunlight, and even though it is a little cold, she decides to take a dip in the pool.

There’s no doubt about it, Katie is living the high life, far away from her parents and from “boring” Hidden Springs.

Nothing like a good morning nap while waiting for Tyron to wake up so she can convince him to let her stay a few more.

Tyron just got up, but unfortunately for Katie, he has very different plans for her. He’s decided she’s going home today. Or to college, or back to her parents—anything but staying here.

But first, it’s time for Brandi’s bath, which Tyron will personally take care of while Rachel prepares her breakfast.

This isn’t the first time Tyron has taken care of Brandi’s bath. At home in Hidden Springs, he almost always did it, since Candice worked all day. (Or so she said.)

Tyron: Well Brandi, you’re as fresh as a daisy. Now let’s go grab that delicious breakfast, okay?
Brandi: Okay.

When he goes downstairs, the babysitter is nowhere to be seen. Only Katie is there, scantily clad as usual and talking on the phone. Tyron sure hopes she’s talking to her parents or to a possible roommate waiting for her at the university.

When she sees Tyron, she quickly hangs up the phone and offers to put Brandi in her high chair.
Tyron: Thanks, Katie, but Rachel will take care of that.
Katie: Oh, no, let me, I want to help.
Tyron: Not now, you and I need to talk. But first, go put something on. There are minors in this kitchen, you know?

Clearly Rachel doesn’t care, since she thinks Katie is some kind of celebrity, a model, or something.

But Katie knows it’s not in her best interest to argue, so she carefully puts Brandi on the floor.
Katie: What’s wrong with what I’m wearing? It’s just my swimwear. But fine, I’ll go change.

A short time later, Katie is back, wearing a little bit more clothing.
Katie: Well, am I properly dressed now?
Tyron: Couldn’t you find something less revealing?
Katie: My goodness, Ty, since when did you become such prude?

Tyron ignores her remark, pulls out his phone, and starts dialing.
Katie: Do you have to call now? Aren’t you even going to eat something first?
Tyron: I’m not hungry. And you need to go.

Tyron: Okay, your taxi is on its way. If you really have nowhere to go, ask him to take you to the hotel in the text I just sent you. Or straight to the airport—I’ve already booked you a one-way ticket to Hidden Springs.
Katie: You really want to get rid of me, huh?
Tyron: I wouldn’t want any trouble with your parents. Or with Kayla, for that matter.

Katie: She’s back, isn’t she? That’s why you’re in such a hurry.
Tyron: That’s none of your business. Just go get your suitcase, the taxi shouldn’t be long.
Katie: Can I at least say goodbye to Brandi?
Tyron: Go ahead, if you want. Honestly, I don’t think she even knows who you are.

Katie: Of course she does, look at her, she likes me. Are we friends now, Brandi?
Brandi: You not mommy!
Tyron: (Chuckles) See?
Katie: Well, I’m certainly not Candice, but I can do this…

And without any notice, in front of the babysitter and even Brandi, Kathy surprises Tyron and stamps her lips onto his. Ty barely has time to react.

Brandi is very young to understand what is happening, but she doesn’t seem to like Katie’s attitude one bit.

Rachel doesn’t know what to say; Tyron finally reacts.
Tyron: (Shakily) Uh, Katie, I think that’s enough.
Katie: Do you really?
(Taxi honks outside).
Tyron: Taxi’s waiting. It’s time for you to go.

Katie: Ugh, fine, I’m leaving. I don’t know why you’re in such a hurry to get rid of me.
Ty does know why. That kiss left him trembling and quite confused. Today more than ever, he needs Katie to leave already.

Well, Katie’s gone. Tyron can now get on with his day, and above all, he can call Kayla back, but… What was that feeling he had at the end from Katie’s kiss? Maybe it’s nothing, but he won’t know for sure until he sees Kayla again and checks that everything is as it should be. And that Katie’s visit, and especially that last kiss, didn’t change anything in him.
