The next morning, as Tyron attempted to leave for the gym, he came face to face with Katie at his own front door.

Before he could even process what he was seeing, she wrapped him in a warm hug.
Katie: Aw, Tyron, thank God I found you. I’m so glad to see you.
Tyron: I-I’m glad to see you too, but…

Tyron: Wow, you look…
Katie: Different? Better? Worse?
Tyron: Well, you look great, but how did you find me? And how did you manage to get in?
Katie: I was walking around, looking for your address. I wasn’t sure if this was the right place. Then I saw you come out, and when you opened the gate, I just slipped in.
Tyron: I see.

Katie: You don’t seem very happy to see me.
Tyron: No, I am, but I really have to go. I have a gig tonight and a lot of things to attend to, you know, the gym and so on…
Given how attractive Katie is to see, Tyron makes an effort to resist and tries a quick escape. But of course, now that she’s found him, she’s not willing to let him go.

Katie: Ty, wait, I need to talk to you.
Tyron: I don’t think there’s anything left to talk about. I’m with Kayla now, Katie.
Katie: You didn’t wait for me, why?
Tyron: Uh, we’ll talk about that another time, okay? I really have to go now.

Tyron continues toward the door as quickly as he can, but she catches up with him in a heartbeat.
Katie: Please, Ty, give me at least one minute.
Tyron: What for, Katie? It’s no use.
Katie: I thought you cared for me.
Tyron: I do. But let’s face it, we are not meant to be.
Katie: You think so? Well, I’ll prove to you that’s not true.

And just like that, Katie grabs Tyron and presses her lips against his.

For a split second, Tyron lets himself get carried away…

But as soon as his daze allows him, he pulls away from her.
Tyron: Wait, what do you think you’re doing?

Katie: Proving to you that we are meant to be together despite your sudden romance with Kayla.
Tyron: It wasn’t any ‘sudden’. Kayla and I have known each other for years; even before I got married. We’re in a relationship now, and it’s a serious one, Katie.
Katie: Is it?
Tyron: Yes.

Katie: Is she here now?
Tyron: No, she’s in Hidden Springs, but she’ll be back any time.
Katie: She’s not here, so why don’t you give me a chance?
Tyron: A chance of what?
Katie: Let me stay at your home today. We spend the day together, see how we feel about each other, if it doesn’t work out, I promise I’ll be gone. Forever.
Tyron: A day together… alone? I can’t do that, I…

Katie: Come on, Ty, it’s just one day. What have you got to lose?
Tyron hesitates. A whole day alone with Katie? That sounds tempting… Kayla could be back any moment now, but, on the other hand, she said she’d call him before getting on the plane, so…
Tyron: Okay, you can stay, but just one day. And since it’s my house, it’ll be my rules, okay?
Katie: Okay.

Katie: I promise you won’t regret this.
Tyron believes it will be exactly the opposite…
Tyron: Uh, rule number one, don’t get so close to me, okay?
Katie: Why? Are you afraid to find you’re still in love with me?
Tyron: It’s not that, just we agreed that you’re here as a friend only, remember?
Katie: Okay, I’ll follow your rules. Or at least I’ll try.

Katie: Anyway, thanks for having me.
Tyron: (To himself) I won’t regret this, right? I just hope the day goes by quickly. Also, I must inform Kayla about this. If she finds out first that Katie is here, she’ll never forgive me.
