A New Start

STARLIGHT SHORES, LATE AFTERNOON…
It’s almost dinner hour; Tyron is practicing a new recipe his mother sent him.

Tyron: Yeah, I hope Brandi likes this. It’s about time she tried something different and more nutritious than ground cereal and baby food.

His cooking session was interrupted by an unexpected phone call. It’s Kayla. Her plane just landed in Starlight Shores, and she’s on her way.

Just minutes later, Kayla shows up at Tyron’s house. She got in using the key he had previously sent her.

When she walked in, Ty was practicing with the guitar, so absorbed that he didn’t hear her enter.
Kayla: Tyron?
He almost dropped the guitar when he heard her voice.

Tyron: Wow, you got here fast.
Kayla: Right? The taxi driver was driving like he was in an F1 race!
Tyron: I see.
Kayla: So, did you miss me?

You can tell that Tyron missed her.

Kayla definitely missed him too.

Following the much-awaited smooch, the pair proceeded to capture their inaugural selfie in Starlight Shores, once more sharing a lovingly kiss.

Tyron hurried to post the photo on his social media account.
Kayla: Ty, what are you doing?
Tyron: Posting our picture on my Simstagram.
Kayla: Isn’t it too soon?
Tyron: No. I want everyone to know that we’re together now.

Kayla: But are you sure?
Tyron: Yeah, the sooner the better. I love you, Kay.
Kayla: Wait, did you just say…?
Tyron: I said I love you, and no, it’s not too soon for that either. It’s just how I feel.
Kayla: Aw, Ty. I love you too.

Yeah, they’re both so happy with their love that they don’t hesitate to express it to each other, not just with words.

They are so excited that they start to get carried away. But then…

Kayla: Ty, I think we should stop.
Tyron: Why?

Kayla: Cause we’re not alone, hon.
Tyron: What do you mea…? Ohh.

But of course, Kayla is referring to Brandi and Felisha, who are there in the living room too, playing together.

Tyron: (Blushing) You’re right, I totally forgot, I’m sorry.
Kayla: Oh, it’s okay, I don’t think Brandi saw anything, she and her nanny seem very entertained.
Tyron: Brandi and Felisha seem to get along so well.

Tyron: Anyway, how about we go upstairs? You can freshen up and rest from the trip, and I can show you around the house.

Tyron: We can also have some privacy in my bedroom…
Kayla: That sounds tempting.

Tyron: So, what do you say? Shall we go up?
Kayla: I’m ready when you are.

Tyron wastes no time. After instructing Felisha to keep Brandi entertained, he leads Kayla upstairs.

He doesn’t want to seem too desperate, but he has waited a long time for this moment.

Kayla has no more doubts. Tyron is the man of her life, and she has no intention of letting him go, ever.

Just one more flight of stairs separates them from heaven.

Tyron: And… here we are.
Kayla: (Chuckles) It’s about time.
Tyron: Sorry I made you climb so many steps.
Kayla: Well, you’ll need to find a way to make it up to me.
Tyron: I definitely will.

Tyron has taken Kayla’s words very seriously and decided not to wait longer for such compensation.

To tell the truth, he’s a little nervous. Kayla is so gorgeous, and they haven’t seen each other in a long time! Plus, his bad experience with his ex-wife, Candice, has made him a little self-conscious.
Kayla is aware of this, and doesn’t want to put pressure on him, so she agrees to chat in bed for a while.

She starts telling him all about her adventures at work and and the details of her trip from Hidden Springs, but her small talk is short-lived.
Tyron: Kay, sorry to interrupt, I’m really enjoying your stories, but…

Kayla: But? Please, Ty, go on. Is something bothering you?
Tyron: Okay, listen. My divorce and everything that happened with Candice and Jasper was really hard, but I’ve gotten over it. Now I just want to move on and enjoy our new life together without looking back, okay?
Ty’s words are music to Kayla’s ears.

Tyron and Kayla’s first night together as a couple was a success. His anxiety and self-doubt have vanished; and Kayla has never felt so fulfilled and blissful. Things are looking extremely promising for their relationship.

Kayla has never told Ty, but she feels a little insecure too around his ex-wife Candice. Candice is not only pretty, but also smart and has a knack for drawing men to her, like that fool Jasper, for example.

But last she heard, Jasper and his wife Madeline had reconciled, and they seem very happy. Which means Candice is alone again, so she might try to worm her way back into Tyron’s life using Brandi as an excuse. Kayla will have to watch out for her.

She waited too long, first for Tyron to forget about that brat Katie O’Dourke, and then for him to decide to divorce the unfaithful Candice. She can’t afford to lose him to any of them again.

She gets that he may never want to get married again. It’s okay, Kayla doesn’t want to get married yet either. But let him go? That’s not going to happen.
