Here’s some more of my first Inzoi save, with my first OC ever, John Robinson. The truth is that this time I had to improve the pictures a bit, since when I started playing this game, my graphic options were not very good. Now I’ve learned a bit more about how to adjust them, plus recently the developers made an update that improved shadow casting and lighting, making the zois look much better both indoors and outdoors.

Anyway, let’s take a quick look at John, who I haven’t played with much lately, because I’m busy with two other characters, which are actually The Sims OCs that I recreated in Inzoi, but we’ll talk about them later, right now, let’s check out the latest on my zoi John.
Warning: Extremely long post and in-game picture spam. Read at your own risk!

Here’s John washing his car.

Selecting bread in the cafeteria while he waits for his girlfriend Lucia, to whom he’s going to propose today.

He chose the coffee shop to make the proposal because Lucia finds the decor with the kittens so cute. It is one of John’s favorite places too.

This is a screenshot of the in-game proposal, hearts and all, including the icons or “plumboLucia said yes to marry John.bs”.

Lucia accepted John’s proposal.

The cat in the background is a witness to their happiness.

John and Lucia’s engagement announcement.

On the way down the aisle, lol. I don’t know what I did, but the event malfunctioned, and they changed into everyday or office outfits, whatever.

Still, they both look happy, John even greeted the attendees in politician style.

Okay, I managed to change their outfits to something a bit more formal.
They’re already at the altar, but where are the guests?

Ready for the ceremony, John’s best friend Gayoung celebrated the marriage.

I guess Gayoung isn’t too happy, since she had a crush on John. And now she has to marry him to Lucia!

Gayoung: Have you come here of your own free will, with no one pressuring you?
(Lucia and John are obviously here on their own accord).

Gayoung: If anyone has an objection to this marriage taking place, let them speak now or forever hold their peace.
The only guest who has arrived has no objection. One would have to ask the girl in the red dress back there in the background her opinion on the matter. And Gayoung herself, of course.

Anyway, the ceremony has begun, a few more guests are starting to show up. It’s about time!

John gives the ring to the bride.

And then Lucia gives a ring to him…
The guests in the back don’t seem attentive or even at least a bit interested in what’s going on.

The bride and groom are still focused on their wedding.
Lucia: With this ring I thee wed, John Robinson…

John and Lucia, pronouncing their vows. The one on the couch is Nikki Briggs, another broken heart at the party. (Sorry Nikki, you had your chance with John, and you didn’t take it).

John seems to think the same as we do. Ah, if only looks could speak!

The ceremony is over. John and Lucia are now husband and wife.

A round of applause for the newlyweds. John looks thoughtful, is he having last minute doubts?

Guess who is not happy at all with this marriage? Yes, you got it right.

Lucia prefers to stay away from there. Gayoung is one thing, but that woman, Jessica Abbott? No thanks. One scorned lady is enough.

Now, a few words from the bride…

John, socializing with his guests.

Time to throw the bouquet, and apparently it’s the groom who will do it. Gayoung and Nikki sure are thinking, what’s the point of catching the bouquet, if the only guy they were interested in just got married?

John: Here it goes!
Lucia: …
Gayoung: …
Nikki: (Rolls eyes).

And the lucky lady is none other than Lindsay Barber!

The result did not seem to be to the liking of any of these three. Well, get over it, girls.

Lucia and John, hanging out with their friends, among them are Belle Holloway and Lindsay Barber.

John, telling his… mm, “friend” Jessica how he met Lucia.

Jessica still can’t believe she has lost her favorite crush forever.

Gayoung, approaching to “congratulate” John.
Gayoung: You could’ve informed me that you were engaged.

Gayoung: If I had known, I would’ve never gone out on a date with you.
John: Really?
Gayoung: No. But what am I going to do now?
(Forget about him, Gayoung, what else?)

Gayoung: Are you saying we won’t be able to see each other again?
John: I think so.

John really doesn’t want to stop seeing Gayoung, but he can’t do this to Lucia.

The moment Gayoung realizes that it is finished what never really started.

John was somewhat pensive after breaking up with Gayoung, was he really right to marry Lucia?

The answer is yes. John is sure that Lucia is the right girl for him, that’s why he married her, so now he’s going to express his love for her with some words he wrote.

John: Lucia, you’re the love of my life, the woman of my dreams, the best thing that could happen to me in this world.

It was a long speech, but it got Lucia’s full attention and applause from everyone present. And that was it for the wedding.
*As a side note, the wedding party went on for hours, and in the end, it turned into a real nightmare because both the groom and the guests were hungry and had to pee. In the lot there was no bathroom and no food either, all they served was coffee, which more or less took away the hunger, but obviously, the more coffee they drank, the more they had to pee. LOL. Anyway, after this experience I went and added a portable bathroom to the lot. I hope the food thing happened because the game is in early access state. I imagine they’ll add catering later, because there’s an existing fridge on the lot and also an electronic menu. There were a few other minor issues, for example, the guests never sat down for the ceremony, although they did sit down at the banquet tables, without the banquet of course. But in itself, except for the bathroom and food stuff, the wedding event itself wasn’t too bad. I give it an 8.

Shortly after the wedding…

Yes, that’s right, John and Lucia are expecting a baby!

Lucia, taking a break while John goes to college. She also wanted to pursue a degree, but she chose to wait until after her baby is born.

John needed a book for homework and stopped by the library after school. This photo is an example of what the lighting and shadow casting looked like BEFORE the update, later we will see what the library in particular looks like AFTER the update.

This lighting really pissed me off. Just look at the shadow on his face. Thank heavens they fixed it already.

Chatting with the librarian.

Enjoying the music playing on the gramophone. The library in particular, had a very yellow light to it, I never liked that look. I had to improve this photo a bit, balancing the color and tint, but it’s still predominantly yellow.

Unlike in The Sims 3, the light and shade outdoors are much better than indoors. After the April 15 update, the indoor lighting improved a lot, as you can see in the pictures below.

These are photos of the same library after the April 15 update. See the difference, it’s amazing. This improvement is what I’ve liked the most in terms of updates. And the best is yet to come, as this month will be the first big update of the game, which includes among other things: improved character customization with refined weight and muscle sliders; in-game cheat codes; enhanced relationship system with more dynamic interactions, create-a-Zoi improvement and new adoption system, to name a few. It’s a pleasure to play a game whose developers really listen to their players/buyers.

Here is another comparison of before and after the update to correct the shadow casting. It’s around the same time of day in both pictures, with the lamp on. See John’s cheeks in the first one, and then in the second picture. Note: The glasses I don’t know where they came from, I think they came with the random outfit, another bug that has been already fixed.

Back to our story, the exact moment Lucia broke the news of her pregnancy to John.

John’s face when he found out he was going to be a dad!

This was literally his reaction in game.

Actually, John went through a lot of different moods, not all of them good, during Lucia’s pregnancy.

He was amazed at times.

Super proud at others.

But there were also moments of great tension, disagreements and even fights. John is not known for his good temper, luckily Lucia always remains calm and patient.

Maybe it’s just my impression but John and Lucia don’t seem to be very compatible. Or maybe it’s that bug they talk about where married people fight all the time? John and Lucia fight a lot since they got married. Frankly and for their own sake, I hope it is indeed a bug.

Whenever John argues with Lucia, he prefers to leave the house until he gets over his anger, thus avoiding further fights.

On the hotel terrace, alone with his coffee and donuts to calm the mood.

At that hour the hotel is empty, which is good, so no one will disturb him.

John poses for us with his donut, lol. The graphics improved a lot since the April updates. In this photo there’s a bit too much daylight, but the detail of the zois certainly improved. If you look closely, you can even see a slight nasolabial line on John, which is not noticeable at first glance. These details are even more visible in CAZ.

John finished his comfort meal, but he’s not ready to go home to Lucia yet.

A small moment of meditation with an incredible view of Bliss Bay (and Inzoi’s enhanced shadow casting).

Asking for advice to his friend Raelyn, who he met in the park.

Drinking some water after the talk.

He made an attempt with the claw machine, to see if he could get a plushie for Lucia.

Unfortunately he failed, like all the other times he has tried.

John believes the claw machines are rigged and has gone to file a complaint.

The park employee made it clear that she’s not in charge. If he has any complaints he can use the suggestion box.

Finally, after the park, John spent some time in the library, studying, listening to music and searching for info on his phone. There he discovered that Gayoung left him several text messages after the wedding.

However, no matter how hard he tried to contact her to invite her to coffee and chat, she was never available. Well, maybe it’s better that way.

There’s no other choice but to return home. After all, he can’t keep running away, he and Lucia have to talk.

Looks like their talk didn’t go very well. Lucia is too emotional.

John doesn’t want to say something that will hurt her, so he retreats.
John: I think we’d better talk some other time.

Lucia did not like his strategy.
Lucia: Sure, now you’re running away, that’s typical you, Johnny.

John: Okay, you want to talk? All right, let’s talk.

John: What do you want to talk about, money? Well you guessed, I don’t have any, and I can’t work right now; I have to study. You’ll have to make do with what we earn from our writing. That’s all there is for now, okay?

It wasn’t money Lucia wanted to talk about, but their relationship. But John didn’t have a good attitude so she ended the conversation. At this point, John was exhausted so he fell asleep on the couch.

Later, to clear his head, he decided to go for a walk on the beach. But the beach was deserted and the breeze was a bit chilly, so he decided to return home. By this time, Lucia is probably asleep.

On the way to the bus this girl got too close to him, their arms even touched. John doesn’t know what she’s up to, or rather, he does, but he’s not really in the mood for this kind of thing right now.

The girl followed him to the bus stop, but he didn’t say a word to her. Why get into more trouble?
(Truth is, in this game you can’t be unfaithful to your spouse, if you start flirting with another person, you get a call from your partner asking you where you are. I don’t know if there will be other options later on, but for now, all my OC’s who are usually womanizers, are going to be more than toast here, lol.

The next day, John tried to talk to Lucia, but now she’s the one who isn’t very receptive.

Even so, and although John doesn’t have much time as he has to leave for school, he explains to her in the most affectionate way possible that nothing bad has happened on his outings, that he’s behaved, and that she can rest assured. Lucia has a feeling he’s telling the truth, and everything is settled between them.

With that matter taken care of, John takes a selfie before leaving for school.

Arriving at school. He had to run because after his talk with Lucia he was running a bit late.

Lucia, meanwhile, went to spend the day at the beach.

A bit of sunscreen here…

Another little there…

And she’s ready for a sunbath.

While at school…

John is out of class.

The security guard no longer made a face at him.
Xavier: See you tomorrow, have a nice evening, Mr. Robinson.
John: You too, Mr. Kingston.

At home, helping Lucia with dinner.

At night, doing homework.

Over the weekend, John raised his Cooking level and was able to use the grill; it must have been a celebration, but he and Lucia argued again. This is the never-ending story.

The food is top notch, but neither of them speak to each other while eating.

Anyway, a few months later…

Yes, the new member of the Robinson family is here, it’s a boy! His name is Jett.

Lucia is exhausted and has a headache. No problem, John gladly offers to entertain Jett.
Note: The babies in Inzoi don’t even have to be fed, just played with, or have their temperature taken, it’s weird, but that’s the way it is. I hope they add more options over time.

It was Lucia’s turn to take care of little Jett. John went out to the amusement park to clear his head, and guess who he ran into? Yes, none other than his good friend Gayoung. The first thing the two did was take a selfie.

Gayoung wanted to know how John has been doing with his marriage, he told her he’d rather not talk about that. That was enough for Gayoung.

One more selfie for the collection.

And since they had met, they decided to go on a date together. It didn’t turn out very well cause this game doesn’t let you go on dates while married, if you do, almost all the options are grayed out, or at least that’s what happened to me. Goodbye to my super complicated cheating guy’s plots, hahaha.

Gayoung had high hopes for this outing, but in the end she was disappointed. Sorry, dear, no way to cheat for now.

John also seems quite disappointed, but at the same time relieved. On this date he didn’t do anything he had to regret. Plus, Lucia kept calling him every five minutes, lol.

Gayoung: Bye, John. Hope to see you soon!
John: Yeah, sorry but I don’t think that’s gonna be possible… (Unfortunately).
And that’s about it for John. I don’t know if I’ll continue with this save, maybe when there are more options for drama and my story style, cause it’s a wee bit boring as it is now. I’m also looking forward to editing townies, if that’s ever going to be possible, I certainly hope so. I hope as well that you had fun with this thread, I know I did.

Thank you for reading this far! Later we will continue in Inzoi with the story of Bradley Langerak and another OC I borrowed from The Sims, it’s a surprise, so no photo for now. I’ll just leave you with this picture of Bradley getting ready to leave for work. 😉
