While Riley Woods goes to sleep, Cynthia’s ‘work’ shift is just beginning.

Terry agreed to stay with Davy for a part of the evening. He won’t leave for the casino until his son has eaten dinner and gone to bed. Not that he’s totally okay with Cynthia giving up her mommy duties, but he’s hoping that going to work will take a little bit of the bad mood she’s been showing lately.

Davy always behaves wonderfully and eats all his dinner when he is in Terence’s care, he knows he can’t play tricks with Terry.

Anyway, Cynthia is already arriving at the house she will rob tonight. The Claremont’s. She can barely contain her excitement – she’s back in business!

Cynthia: Let’s see if I have the right tool for this. Yeah, I think this one will do.

She quickly changes into her work clothes and gets down to the job.

She has to tune her ears to listen for falling locks and keep her eyes alert to make sure no one is passing by on the street.

She has to be very careful, too. She doesn’t want the cops to come and ruin everything on her first night of work.

That’s it, it’s unlocked! Now to sneak in and steal as much as she can.

Cynthia: It’s a huge house; no doubt it will be a great haul.

Oh, no! Cynthia didn’t even have a minute inside the house when the alarms go off, and within seconds, a police cruiser arrives on the scene. Looks like her first night on the job will also be her last. 😓

Terence got a call in the wee hours of the morning. It’s from the police station where Cynthia is now in custody for robbing the home of a respectable family of Lucky Palms.
Terence: Damn it Cynthia, you said you would rob banks, not houses.

Now he has to go get her out of jail, but Davy woke up and the babysitter hasn’t arrived. Terry will have to wait until she’s here to go rescue Cynthia.
Terence: Well, it won’t hurt Cyn to wait in that cell for a while, maybe that way she’ll learn to be more careful.

Terence: Okay, Davy, stay here and try to sleep, your nanny will be here in a moment.
Davy: I want mommy!
Terence: Mommy is in… um, she’s working now, you’ll see her tomorrow.

Davy: Daddy, story?
Terence: Sorry, honey, I can’t right now, I have to go pick up Mommy, but I’ll tell you lots of stories later tonight. Now go to sleep, okay?

Davy couldn’t sleep because he was hungry, it’s morning already and the babysitter hasn’t arrived, so Terence had to take over again.

He doesn’t mind. Davy has always come first for him. Besides, he’s pretty mad at Cynthia for blowing it like that. Not only has she put herself in danger, but she has also put his reputation as a Lucky Palms businessman in jeopardy.

Terence is mad at her as well over her refusal to try for another baby. He doesn’t know what’s wrong with her, maybe leaving her in jail for the rest of the morning would be a good wake-up call for her to correct course?

TerenceI’m sorry, Cyn, I love you, but no one compromises Terry the Terrible’s reputation as a businessman and gets away with it. I hope this helps you understand that you belong with your family here, not breaking into houses.

In the end, Terence decided not to go in person to the Police station, a couple of calls with his friends there, another call to Brandon to go get Cynthia out, and he went back to bed. Best not to be awake when she arrives, that will avoid further confrontation. He’ll talk to her when they’re both well rested.

Luckily, the babysitter is already here and doing a great job as always. Apparently Deanne is one of Davy’s favorite nannies.

About a couple of hours later, Cynthia is back. Her half-brother Brandon bailed her out and brought her home. She took a shower and went downstairs for breakfast as she was starving. What a nightmare! Thank goodness Deanne is taking good care of Davy.

Meanwhile Terence sleeps like a baby. Cynthia didn’t dare wake him up, she’s already pissed him off enough these days by flatly refusing to have another baby. And right now, he must be truly furious with her for breaking into the Claremont residence. Better to let him sleep than to go bother him, hopefully their marriage won’t explode after all this.
