One way for Allan to take his mind off his children’s imminent departure for college, and his “old age” is to spend time at the outdoor bar, practicing his mixology skills.

Of course, it won’t do him much good, since he won’t be able to taste what he prepared.

Or maybe it will, if he prepares the only drinks he can have these days, which are the alcohol-free ones; pretty boring stuff if you ask him.

It would be great if he could have at least a little sip, especially now that he needs it so badly, but he promised Zoe not to drink again, and he intends to keep his promise.

Well, at least he can spend time mixing things up, which is quite relaxing, the outdoor bar has always been his happy place, with or without the booze.
