Hidden Springs, the Next Morning

Early the next morning, Tyron leaves the house he shared with Candice for a little over five years and takes Brandi with him.

A cab picked them up to take them to their new temporary home, because, in addition to the house, Tyron also gave Candice his car. Surely in Starlight Shores he will be able to get himself a new one.

Tyron and Brandi’s ‘temporary home’ is none other than Terence’s former house, where he and Cynthia, and even Dale and Kelly lived before they all left Hidden Springs. Now, with his brother’s permission, it’s Ty’s turn to occupy it, though it will only be for a couple days, then he’ll leave, too.

The house is quite comfortable, and has everything they could possibly need, including a packed refrigerator. Both he and Brandi are hungry, so…

Tyron: Now stay here for a bit while I make breakfast for us, okay?
Brandi: Mommy coming?
Tyron: No, not today.
Brandi: Where is she?
Tyron: Uh, she’s…working.
Brandi: I want mommy!

Yes, it’s not going to be easy for Tyron to explain to Brandi why her mommy isn’t coming, and why she won’t be going with them to Starlight Shores either. Sooner or later he’ll have to, but not right now. Tyron needs some peace and quiet to think about everything that’s coming up for him.

MEANWHILE, AT THE O’DOURKE’S HOUSEHOLD…

Wendy: Katie? Where have you been all day? We missed you for lunch.
Katie: I went to the beauty salon; I was sick of those silly pigtails.
Wendy: Well, I must say you look lovely, my dear.
Katie: Thanks mom. I might change hairstyle again later, but for now this one’s fine.
Wendy: By the way, your dad and I want to talk to you about your enrollment in the University.

Yes, that’s right. The O’Dourkes want their daughter to go to college immediately, but the ‘new’ Katie has other plans… One of them, moving to Starlight Shores… Wait. Starlight Shores? What on earth is Katie going to do there. The University is right on the opposite side!

Katie: I’m sorry daddy, but if I’m going to be a model like mom, I don’t need to go to the University.
Liam: Your mother got a degree; modeling was just a hobby.
Wendy: You could pursue a career in Physical Education. That would help you with modeling.
Katie: I’ll think about it. Just remember I became a young adult today. Whether I go to the University or to Starlight Shores is entirely my decision.
(Katie is right. It doesn’t mean her parents agree).

Wendy and Liam know exactly the reason why Katie wants to go to Starlight Shores: that reason is named Tyron Cho.
