Plumbite Cove, Copperdale

The Wilsons are arriving at the Plumbit Pier on their first outing as a family after Allan’s rehab. While Anika checks her phone for messages from Alexander, Lukas decides to take a bike ride to get some exercise.

Kennedy orders something to eat while Allan walks over to the guitar lying in the middle of the open-air stage.

Few people know that, in addition to acting, Allan is very fond of music; if he had not become an actor, perhaps he would have pursued a career as a musician or a singer.

Zeke went to try his luck at the ice-skating rink. But he doesn’t seem to be taking it very well. 😓

Zoe went for an ice cream; too many calories, but a good excuse to get away for a bit. She and Allan haven’t talked much since his return. She’s been deliberately avoiding him, cause she doesn’t know how to address him about their situation.

Lukas also went for a snack. Like his mother, he doesn’t like to eat too many calories. They both are fans of exercise and healthy living and take great care to stay in shape. Of all the Wilson kids, Lukas is the one who most resembles Zoe.

He’s about to take the first bite when Zoe appears behind him.
Zoe: Hey, honey, have you seen your dad?
Lukas: He and Kennedy went for a walk through the park… Mm, this smells delicious. Do you want some?
Zoe: No thanks, I’ve had enough calories for today.

Zoe: I’d really like to know where your dad went.
Lukas: Mom, relax, he should not be long to come back.
Zoe: Oh, I’m relaxed all right.
Lukas: Yeah, sure. Lukas wishes his parents would stop playing hide-and-seek and just sit down and talk already.

Meanwhile, at Totter Park…
Allan and Kennedy sat down to catch their breath; a couple of fans noticed Allan’s presence in the park and came to greet him.

One of them was so excited that she even fainted. And then came the paparazzi. Kennedy couldn’t take it anymore and, after apologizing to Allan, he fled the scene.
Allan: Here we go again… I’d better get back with the others too.

Back at the pier…
Allan: Hey, Zoe, would you go on a romantic ride with me?
Zoe: Oh, Al, that’s sweet, of course I’d love to.
Anika: (To Lukas) ‘Of course I’d love to’. Wasn’t she angry with him?
Lukas: Well, you know these two.

Zoe: I hear the romantic ride is very exciting and, well, romantic.
Allan: It is, plus the paparazzi won’t be able to follow us there.
Zoe: Yeah, thankfully.

Allan: So, you’re not angry with me anymore for… you know?
Zoe: I’m not angry with you, Al, but at some point, we’ll have to talk. Not now of course, cause I wouldn’t want to ruin our ride.

Allan: ‘Ruin’? So, is it a bad what you wanna tell me?
Zoe: Oh, no, in fact, it could be good, but that depends on what you want for us from now on.
Allan: What I want is to be with you and the kids, that much I know.
Zoe’s heart beats fast, she senses that Allan is sincere, but she doesn’t want to get her hopes up.

Anika watches her parents with skepticism. Have they fixed their issues yet? Her mom didn’t look happy the day her dad left for the clinic. Maybe with the joy of having his attention again, she just forgot her anger?

Whatever, they’re adults now, they’ll know how to settle their matters. Now, where did Kennedy go? She promised she’ll teach her to play chess today.

Kennedy has been out and about, still hiding from the paparazzi. As soon as she notices the coast is clear, she rushes to join Anika at the chess table.

Anika: So, you ran away.
Kennedy: Yes.
Anika: From daddy’s fans.
Kennedy: Yes.

Kennedy: I mean, I like popularity just like everyone else, but dad’s fans are kind of scary.
Anika: True but not sure it was a good idea to leave him alone.

Kennedy: Dad is not a child, and he knows how to handle his fans.
Anika: Sure he does.
Kennedy: Anyway, he’s safe with mom on the romantic ride now.
Anika: (After a pause) Do you think they’re going to be okay?
Kennedy: Define “okay”.
Anika: I meant, do you think they will divorce again?

Kennedy: Divorce? Nah, they have their ups and downs, but they’re still crazy about each other.
Anika: You really think so?
Kennedy: Yeah, you can tell by the way they look at each other. Now stop the chatter and make your next move.
Anika: Okay.
