The days without Allan continued to pass for the Wilson family, each of them trying to cope with life as best they could.

But happily, today is the last day they will spend without him, as he will be released from the rehab clinic tomorrow. Anika is one of the happiest; we know she adores her dad, and just like the rest of the family, she misses him so much.

Yes, everyone is excited about Allan’s return, although to tell the truth, Zoe is a little worried, as she doesn’t know how things will go between them after everything that’s happened.

The evening before the return, Lukas went for a walk to the beach and stayed there for a while, drawing pictures in the sand and other silly stuff to make the time pass faster.

He is impatient for his father to return. He has so many questions to ask him about life and love. Maybe Allan can advise him whether he should go ahead with Savannah or try again with Lucas.

Meanwhile, Anika had a bit of a hard time trying to explain to Zeke why people go to a rehab clinic.

But apparently her explanation, (quite adapted to her little brother’s tender age of course), was enough, and he went to sleep calm and happy knowing that his father is well and will soon be back home.

Kennedy on the other hand, took a while to fall asleep, so she preferred to go to the living room to exercise a bit before going to bed. She is also happy with Allan’s return, but she’s is a little worried about her own dilemma: Orange or Yosef, Yosef or Orange?

It’s finally dawn! The sun is streaming through the windows of the bedroom where Zoe has slept alone for several months now.

She doesn’t wait for the alarm clock to ring and gets out of bed immediately. In truth, she could hardly sleep knowing that today is the day Allan returns, with all that implies.

Anyway, the first thing to do is to tidy up a bit. Admittedly, she’s been slacking off since Allan left. But it’s been enough rest, it’s time to get back to her chores.

Luckily, she has the help of Zeke, who also got up early and is helping her wash the dishes.

Apollo was the second to arrive to the kitchen, he too has been a bit lost without his owner.
Zeke: You heard the news, Apollo? Dad’s coming home. Isn’t that great?
Apollo: Meow.
Yeah, just in time, cause Apollo, like everyone else here, misses Allan too much.

Next to arrive in the kitchen is Kennedy, who immediately starts goofing around with Zeke.

She knows he’s been pretty sad all these days, but this morning he obviously looks cheerful.

Anika wanted to surprise her family by making breakfast for them, but she had a little accident with the saltshaker.

Anika: Ah, sure it’s fine, but I’ll still try it first.

Anika: Aw, no, too much salt, now no one will want to eat this!

Lukas: Hey, Nikkie, you made breakfast.
Anika: Yeah, but I don’t recommend it.
Lukas: Why not?

Anika then tells her brother about her little misadventure with the saltshaker.
Anika: … So it turned out a bit too salty.
Lukas: Oh, well, I think I’ll pass, then.
Anika: If you’re not eating, would you wash those dirty dishes, please? We don’t want Dad sitting at a messy table.

Nothing to worry about, Zoe has come to the rescue with breakfast.

Things may not be quite settled with her and Allan, but a good breakfast has never lacked at the Wilsons’ table and today will be no exception. Especially not today.

All in all, Zoe is happy to have her beloved Allan home again. It’s about time!

Finally, around noon, suitcase in hand, Allan is back home. Kennedy and Anika came out to greet him.
Anika: Wait, what is he wearing?
Kennedy: Don’t ask.

Nobody asked, and a few hours later, Allan is dressed in his regular clothes, ready to go out and celebrate his return with his family.
While Zoe and the rest went to change, Allan and Zeke waited for them in the kitchen.
Zeke: So what did you do at that relab clinic?
Allan: (Chuckles) It’s rehab, and we didn’t do much, we just relaxed, drew, exercised, took naps, you know, the usual.

Zeke: Was the food good?
Allan: Not as good as your mom’s, but it was pretty decent. There wasn’t any fast food, though.
Zeke: Did they have a bar?
Allan: (Gets serious). No, Z, there were no bars there, and there won’t be one here anymore either, I assure you.
Zeke: That’s good. I don’t want you to get sick again.
Allan: I won’t, I promise, buddy.
