Cynthia is picking up the dinner dishes, soon to leave for her first night of ‘work’. The conversation with Terence didn’t go too bad, except for that ‘deal’ about waiting two years to have another baby.

She had to say she agreed, but there’s no way in hell she’s going to have another baby, it’s over, Davy is already enough.

Terry is of course going to insist, and most likely some problems will arise between the two of them over this matter, but she’ll cross that bridge when she gets to it.

After finishing the dishes, she stopped by the nursery to check on Davy. Before leaving, Deanne had left him sound asleep, but Cynthia knows that’s not going to last.

Davy is a very light sleeper, just like his father, of course Terence has his reasons not to sleep through the night, but Davy? What nightmares can an innocent baby like him have?

Davy: Mommy, carry me.
Cynthia: No sweetie, it’s time for you to sleep.
Davy: No, mommy. I want out!

Cynthia: All right, I’ll take you out just for a minute. Mommy has to go to work.
Davy: No. Daddy work. Mommy home.
Cynthia: Mommies go to work too, honey. But it’ll be okay, your nanny will be here to take care of you.

Davy: Deanne?
Cynthia: No, not Deanne, it’s Jason this time.
Davy: I want Deanne!
Cynthia: She’ll be back tomorrow, in the meantime, Jason will play with you, then he’ll take you to sleep, and when you wake up, mommy will be back, okay?
Davy: No, no okay. Mommy stays home!
Cynthia: *Sigh*.

Yeah, convincing Davy is not going to be so easy. The little guy has his own opinion, which is the worthy product of Terence’s upbringing. “Daddy works. Mommy stays home.” Well, that’s about to change.

Davy better get used to his new, strong, independent and empowered mommy, who goes out every day to make a living. Of course, it’s not yet time to explain to him that, for Cynthia, making a living means robbing a little bank or two.

For now, she decides to win his support by offering him his favorite food, a bottle of warm milk, always an excellent choice as a pacifier. Although Terry claims bottles are for the weak, Davy is, in many ways, still a little baby, so let him enjoy being spoiled a while longer.

As it’s Deanne’s night off, Jason, the stand-in babysitter has arrived. Truth be told, Deanne is Cynthia’s favorite, and the only nanny Terence can really stand; lucky he’s not here now, so he won’t notice her absence.

Whatever, Cynthia has to go now.
Cynthia: Good night, honey, enjoy your dinner, and don’t give Jason too much trouble. Jason, please make sure he goes to sleep early.
Jason: Yes, Mrs. Cho.

“Mrs. Cho.” Jason, Deanne, and the rest of the staff call her that. But in her mind, she’s just Cynthia. Not Cynthia Roselyn, of course, her middle name has never appealed to her, it’s just too… Vanderburg. Anyway, Terence ordered everybody to call her ‘Mrs. Cho’, on penalty of being fired, so let it be.

Well, enough musing, it’s time to get to work. Those Lucky Palms banks aren’t going to rob by themselves!
