After Allan’s brief morning rehearsal…
Allan: So? How did it go with Lucas?
Lukas: Well, he asked me for more time to “think”.
Allan: Maybe he does need more time.
Lukas: What would you do if you were me, would you wait for him or would you move on?

Allan: I’d most certainly move on, but sometimes that requires a little push.
Lukas: What do you mean exactly?
Allan: Well, my advice is not to rush things, but to be, um, open to other options.
Lukas: By ‘other options’ you mean dating a girl?

Allan: You could date other boys too. But as I remember, there were two girls you had a crush on.
Lukas: Molly and Savannah, yes. But I don’t feel about either of them the way I feel about Lucas.
Allan: I totally get it.

Allan: But you still like those girls too, don’t you?
Lukas: Well, yeah.
Allan: So, while Lucas clears up his doubts, why not give any of them a chance. It might work out.
Lukas: Really? How would you know?
Allan: Believe me. I know.
Lukas: You mean you… Wait, you’re saying you are also…?

Allan: I’m not going to confuse you by telling you about my preferences. Let’s just say I’ve been there myself. For me it was solved rather quickly; it wasn’t easy to move on though, and sometimes I still have doubts. But I wish with all my heart that everything comes out differently for you.Lukas: (After a brief, stunned silence) Wow, t-thank you dad, you are… you are amazing.Allan: Meh, I’m far from that, but if anything, I’ll be here whenever you need to talk.

Allan has made many mistakes in his life, but at least he can still try to be a good father. Hopefully his talk has helped Lukas to resolve his doubts. Allan’s doubts, on the other hand, are growing every day, especially now that he has a new movie coming out with Fabian as his co-star.

That and the untimely call from the studios interrupting his vacation is what has Zoe upset with him, putting him between a rock and a hard place. This makes him crave a drink, even if it’s a small one, to forget the pile of problems that lie ahead.

Between a rock and a hard place. That’s exactly how Allan feels now. On one side is Zoe, on the other is his career. So far, he’s been strong, he has remained not only sober, but faithful, will he hold up?
Allan: I need a drink, or maybe something stronger? God, grant me the courage to… Blah, blah, whatever. I guess I’ll settle for a cigarette this time.
