The next day, Patrick attended the Fall Festival. There he met his good friend Matilda Smart, who at last formally introduced him to Suzy Strummer, the girl from the grocery store.
Patrick: Yeah, we’ve already met. You scolded me for smoking in front of the convenience store the other day, right?
Suzy: Yes, that’s me.

Patrick: You have something against smokers?
Suzy: Yes, I like to breathe clean air. Listen, if you want people to vote for your candidate, you should side with the non-smokers.
Patrick: Why, we smokers don’t vote?
Suzy: Oh, get out of here.

The discussion didn’t last long because they started fooling around. Contrary to popular belief, it seems that these two hit it off in spite of everything. 😄

After the very brief political debate, Patrick and Suzy met up with Bianca and went to play some seasonal games, such as the classic apple bobbing.

Lenny Strutter is also there, doing his best. The truth is Patrick has never been very good at playing these things; Bianca, on the other hand, seems to be a master, he wonders how she managed to refine her technique.

Oh, Pat finally caught one! That’s great, but – is this supposed to be fun? He just feels like he’s choking, lol.

Anyway, apple bobbing is over, (luckily for Pat). Bianca beat them all, now what’s next?

Patrick: What is this, a gift? But my birthday is until March.
Bianca: I know, silly, but I know you’ve been kind of down and I wanted to cheer you up. Don’t get too excited, it’s just a video game.
Patrick: Aw, thanks, Bianca, you shouldn’t have.

The phone interrupted the conversation. It’s Jun, to confirm his date with Pat at Waylon’s Hunt tonight.
Patrick: Of course, love. I’ll be there on time.
Bianca grins. “Love”? Well, it looks like he’s already forgiven her. It won’t be long before those two are all over each other again.

She can’t help but make some jokes about it, and the two end up fooling around and doing the surfer greeting.
Bianca: Shaka Bra!
Patrick: Shaka Bra, or whatever. I’ve really never been to the island.
Bianca: Oh, sure you’ll go when you’re a famous politician; you’ll even have your own houseboat!

Patrick: Well, I had a lot of fun, but I’d better get going.
Bianca: Why? The festival is just starting, and the rest of our friends are yet to arrive.
Patrick: I know, but if I’m honest, I wouldn’t want to run into Ace, or Jun… yet.

Bianca: I hear you. Besides, the sky is getting a little cloudy. The weather channel said it was going to rain.
Patrick: Yet not a drop has fallen.
Bianca: Yeah, but you know how Bridgeport is…

Patrick: Yeah, one minute the sun is shining up high, and the next it is raining cats and dogs…
(Typical Bridgeport).
