To forget her worries, Anika goes for another plate of barbecue, while Zeke makes his way to the food table.
Zeke: Hey, leave some of that for me.
Anika: Zeke, shouldn’t you be in bed by now?
Zeke: Well, I just had to see if everything’s okay around here.
Anika: Oh, I’m sure with your supervision things will be much better, Z.
Zeke: That’s what I thought.

Zoe: So, what did you and Alexander do while we were away? There’s not much to do here, didn’t you get bored?
Anika: Anika: (Almost drops her plate).
Alexander: (Quickly flees the scene)
Lucas: Ha, I’m sure they found something with which to entertain themselves.
Allan: …

Lukas: Lucas…
Lucas: I meant, there’s the beach, right? They can swim, surf, snorkel, among, er, other things.
Allan shudders at the thought of those ‘other things’. He doesn’t know about Alexander, but he would take any opportunity alone with Zoe to… Wait. Alexander and his little girl…? No way! 😟

Lucas: (To Lukas) Sorry, I didn’t mean to pry.
Lukas: Oh, it’s okay, like I said before, you’re family now.
Lucas: Thanks, buddy.

Lukas: You’re most welcome. You know, I’m really glad you decided to come.
Lucas: Bro, you’re my best friend, I wouldn’t miss your vacation for the world.
Lukas doesn’t say anything else, but his look says it all. Zoe doesn’t know what to do except walk away discreetly. That’s been too much information for her already.

While Lukas and Lucas are in their own world, Anika and Alexander start gathering the dirty dishes as an excuse to get out of there, but they’re quickly intercepted by Allan, who goes to pick up Apollo to calm himself before speaking.
Anika: Oh, no. Here we go…

Allan: Is everything is all right with you, guys?
Alexander: Uh – yes Mr. Wilson.
Anika: (Blushing suspiciously) Yes, dad, everything is fine, don’t worry.
Allan: M-hm. I hope so. Alex, you better play nice, buddy, or you’ll be dealing with me.
Anika: Dad, please!
Alexander: (Gulps) I-I promise you have nothing to worry about, Mr. Wilson.

The party is over, everyone has already entered the house. Only Anika and Lucas remain outside.
Anika: Your unsolicited comment got my dad’s imagination working, thank you very much.
Lucas: It was stupid I know, and I’m sorry.
Anika: Well, forget that and tell me, what’s going on with you and Lukas?
Lucas: What’s going on? What about?

Anika: Lucas, I have eyes, so don’t play dumb with me. Also, stop giving my brother false hope.
Lucas: False hope? What are you talking about, I’m just trying to be nice.
Anika: Nice, huh? Well, don’t. Just because Lukas has feelings for you doesn’t mean you have to pretend feel something for him too.

Lucas: I’m not ‘pretending’, I do love Lukas, he’s my best friend remember?
Anika: It’s different, you’re not into boys. Last thing I knew you had a crush on Kennedy, so be careful what you do, cause if you play with Lukas, I swear….
Lucas: Hey, I’m not going to play with Lukas. I came here because he is my friend, and because we still have things to clear up, but if it makes you feel better, I’ll return to Windenburg first thing in the morning.

Anika: Tell me, Apollo, why do family relationships have to be so complicated?
Apollo: Meow.
Anika: Ah. Forget it, how would you know? You’re just a cat.
Apollo: Meow.
Anika: Good night to you too, Apollo.
