Arriving home from work that afternoon, Patrick was just about to enter the building when his phone rang. It was Jun.

She wanted them to see each other to talk. Just hearing her voice made Patrick’s heart throb, he missed her, but he still didn’t feel ready to forget what happened.
Jun: So? Can I come see you now? Or you’d rather we meet somewhere else?

Patrick: Uh, sorry, but I can’t today, I have a business appointment, plus, I don’t think it’s a good idea for us to meet… yet.
Jun: Why not?

Patrick: Because it’s not the time; I still don’t feel good about what happened.
Jun: Oh, come on baby, you’re overreacting. Listen, all that happened days ago, it’s time to move on, don’t you think?

Patrick: Jun, I told you, we’ll talk, but not right now. I just got back from work, I’m tired, I’m hungry and I need a shower. I also told you I have a work appointment later.
Jun: Okay, got it, I’ll wait, but could you just give me a date at least, please? Aw, I miss you so much, baby.

Pat’s heart flutters again. He doesn’t know how much longer he can hold out.
Patrick: I- I miss you too.
Jun: Then, say when we’ll see each other and where.

Patrick: Mmm, how about Waylon’s Hunt? Tomorrow, at nine PM?
Jun: Perfect, I’ll be there. Thanks, honey.

Patrick: Hold on. I have one condition.
Jun: One condition? Wow, okay, what is it?
Patrick: For no reason whatsoever should you tell Ace about us meeting.
Jun: What? Of course I won’t, for God’s sake, Pat. Who do you take me for?

Patrick: Sorry, I know you wouldn’t, but I needed to make sure. I want to settle this with you; about him, I’m not so sure.
Jun: Like I said, you’re overreacting, but don’t worry, I won’t tell Ace, he hates Waylon’s anyway. Now, I hope that after our talk everything will be cleared up, and you guys will be friends again.

Patrick: We’ll see about that.
Jun: As you say, Mr. Jealous and Insecure guy.
Patrick: (*Sigh*) I must go now, I’m in a bit of a hurry.
Jun: (Probably rolling her eyes). I know, your business appointment. Fine, see you tomorrow. I love you. Bye.

Jun hung up before Pat could tell her that he loved her too. She knows he does, but he’s just too proud to give in.

Yeah, home sweet home again, only Jun is not there. Should he have swallowed his pride, canceled his business appointment, told her to come and stay the night?

That would have been nice, but he promised his cowoker they would meet today. It’s almost time, he’ll barely have time to grab a quick bite to eat and take a shower.

Tomorrow he’ll see Jun at last, then hopefully everything will be cleared. As for Ace… well, better not to think about that right now.
