Geoffrey apologized to Clifford for how badly Malcolm had behaved to his late mother, Bebe.
Geoffrey: We Landgraabs may be all sorts of things but we don’t abandon our own.
Clifford: (To himself): Oh yeah? and why didn’t he help my mother leaving her to die in poverty? I guess it doesn’t matter anymore.

Geoffrey: (Oblivious to Clifford’s thoughts): So the third part of the fortune in Malcolm’s will rightfully belongs to you, the other two thirds belong to your half-sisters, Natalie and Doris.
Clifford politely declined to accept the inheritance.
Clifford: Uh…

Clifford: Thank you very much but my family and I don’t need money, we live quite comfortably thanks to mine and my wife’s work.
Geoffrey: Money is always needed. You could use it to pay for your children’s University. How many do you have, three?

Clifford: I’m sorry for your loss, but I don’t want anything coming from you or your deceased son. I came to offer my condolences, and I already have, so, have a good day, Mr. Landgraab.
“Mr. Landgraab.” Clifford didn’t even deign to call him grandfather. Why would he? Geoffrey never acted like one. And now he wants to buy off his great-grandchildren with that cheapskate Malcolm’s fortune? Thanks, but no thanks.

*Note: I know it’s super weird that Geoffrey is still alive when Malcom is dead and Clifford is already a Senior citizen, but my game, even with aging on, behaves in the weirdest ways.
