The day is almost over, the Wilson siblings are twice as worried as they were at the beginning, since they are now going to be given reports for not doing their homework.

Kennedy doesn’t plan to put up with that, so she’s gone to talk to Miss Coombes. But she’s too busy listening to Mr. Morlind’s gossip, so Kennedy will have to wait.

Anika fell asleep on the couch in the hallway while waiting for her sister.

She was awakened by the noise in the hallway. It seems Molly Prescott was leading a student protest. Of course Mrs. Prescott the principal and her mother, was not amused.

Mrs. Prescott: Molly, this is unacceptable. You are the principal’s daughter; you can’t afford to be rebellious. With all the pain in my heart I’m going to have to report you.
Anika: But this isn’t fair, Molly was only exercising her free speech rights!
Mrs. Prescott: Silence, Miss Wilson, you’re in enough trouble as it is. Don’t make it worse by earning another report.

Anika: “You’re in enough trouble as it is”. “Don’t make it worse by earning another report”. “You can’t afford to be rebellious”. Witch! Ugh, I hate school.
