MINUTES LATER, STILL AT MISS COOMBES CLASS…

Miss Coombes: Anika, are you ready to share with us your conclusions about the Physics experiment I gave you as homework?
Anika: Mm, well, you see…
Miss Coombes: Ah, obviously you’re not. Anyone else?

Miss Coombes: Lukas, how about you?
Lukas: Well, you see, Miss Coombes, I… I haven’t completed the experiment yet.

Mrs. Coombes: What’s with you Wilsons today? You’re usually at the top of my class. I’m especially surprised about you, Lukas. You’ve never failed me before. (Note the siblings’ expressions, there’s no doubt about it, Wilson is in their blood😄).

Miss Coombes: Kennedy? I suppose you won’t let me down.
Kennedy: Yeah, well, Miss Coombes, I did the experiment but – I forgot the paper at home.

Miss Coombes: Well, this is unusual from you. I don’t know what is distracting you from your studies, I hope it’s not your father’s celebrity status.
Kennedy: Of course not, Miss Coombes, in fact, Dad helped me with homework this time.
Miss Coombes: Oh, I’m glad to hear that, but there’s no use for your father’s support if you forget the paper at home. I’m terribly sorry, but I’ll have to make a report to all three of you.

Anika: And now we are toast.
Otto: Psst, Anika, I can help you with your experiment after school if you want.
Anika: Thank you, Otto, that’s very kind of you.
Anika knows that Otto has had a crush on her since day one. It’s a shame she can’t reciprocate.

Anika: I wish everything was as simple as falling in love with Otto; I wouldn’t be thinking about the stupid Alexander all day and failing at school.

Ah, but when I become a famous actress, I will be able to leave all this school nonsense behind.

Class is over, none of the Wilson kids are amused; Miss Coombes less so.
Kennedy: Mom and Dad will kill me for this, I know it. I have to talk to the teacher, so she won’t give me a report. I’ll promise to do double homework, or whatever it takes.

Lukas completely forgets about the report, as he checks the messages he’s getting from Lucas.
Anika: Any news?
Lukas: No, just Lucas being Lucas.
Anika: Time to talk to him, don’t you think?
Lukas: Yeah, not right now.
Otto: Hopefully Anika will accept my help with her experiment. that would be a good opportunity to hang out with her.
