Dale is already up, he just made coffee for everyone.

‘Everyone’ is just a figure of speech, since only he and Kelly had a cup, the girls already had breakfast and will soon leave for their class.

Sarah is getting dressed; Lauri is at the at-home gym, working out a bit. She probably wants to look her best for when she moves to Lucky Palms. Or is there any other reason? Or is there some other reason for her suddenly wanting to look good? 🤔

Yeah, the girls are busy, it’s the perfect time for Kelly to question Dale.
Kelly: So… what exactly happened with you and Lauri yesterday?
Dale: Hm? I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Kelly: Dale, you don’t have to get defensive, I’m not angry, nor am I trying to start a fight…

Kelly: I just overheard Sarah and Lauri talking at breakfast. They were saying something like Lauri is moving to Lucky Palms to ‘get away from you’.
Dale: What?
Kelly: I was surprised too, that’s why I want you to tell me what happened between you two.
Dale: Nothing. I just found out she was going to Lucky Palms too, I advised her not to do it just to follow Sarah, and – well, I think she got offended.

Now it’s Sarah who’s listening behind the door…
Sarah: So Kelly was spying on us? Well, now I’m spying on her!
Kelly: May I know why you care so much if Lauri leaves or not?
Dale: Well, you heard me at dinner, I think Lucky Palms is not the place for…

The door to the mini home gym opens and Lauri walks out into the dining room. Dale suddenly falls silent; Kelly takes a large sip of coffee.

Lauri: *Passes by humming on her way to the bathroom*.
Kelly: *To Dale*. And now she’s playing mysterious. *To Lauri*. Ahem, Lauri?
Lauri pretends not to hear her and walks faster.
Dale: *Between his teeth*. Kel, what the hell are you doing? Leave her alone!

The bedroom door opens in a well-timed manner and Sarah steps out.
Sarah: Good morning, guys, enjoy coffee.
Taking advantage of the distraction, Lauri runs away and locks herself in the bathroom. Both Kelly and Dale sigh, he with relief, she with clear frustration.

Kelly: *In a quiet voice*. Sarah’s sudden exit was very convenient, don’t you think?
Dale: *Also, in a quiet voice*. I think you’re making too big a deal out of something that isn’t. I’m telling you, nothing happened between Lauri and me. And what’s the difference anyway? Both she and Sarah will be gone soon, then you’ll be able to breathe easy.
