It is already morning at the University dorm.

Sarah was the first to get up. Thank goodness there’s food in the fridge, no thanks to her, of course.
Sarah: Bless you, Cho, you’re the best chef in the world, I’m sure going to miss you when I’m gone.

Lauri is also up already, good thing because Sarah wants to ask her what happened yesterday between her and Dale.
Sarah: Lauri, aren’t you going to have breakfast?
Lauri: I had breakfast earlier, thank you, I’ll get in the shower now.

Sarah: Oh, no, no, you sit here right now, I want all the details about your conversation with Dale yesterday.

It’s already daybreak for Dale and Kelly too.

Dale doesn’t have school in the morning, plus he is tired from the hustle and bustle with the repair girl last night, so he’s still asleep. Kelly had such a good night’s sleep, that she doesn’t mind waking up early. She doesn’t have classes either, but she needs a shower.

Once in the bathroom, as the door to the dining room is open, she can see Sarah and Lauri sitting at the table. The two of them are talking in hushed tones, but in between the whispering, Kelly can hear them calling Dale’s name.
Kelly: What? Why are those two talking about Dale?

Kelly places herself in a position where she can’t be seen and sharpens her ear.
Sarah: So the reason you actually want to go to Lucky Palms is not because of the job, but to get away from Dale. I should have known. But it’s silly, you know, because FYI, Dale is going to Bridgeport anyway, far, far away from you, so you can rest easy.
Lauri: *After a pause*. Okay, but I’m not just doing it to get away from him, I’m also doing it to meet other people, someone special even, to make me forget about him.
Sarah: Yeah, as if.

Kelly: So, to get away from Dale, huh? I knew it! That girl has a crush on my Dale, that could be a problem. Damn it, first it was Riley, now it’s her, will this never end?

Out of the shower, Kelly is still thinking about what she heard as she picks up the laundry. Washing clothes isn’t her cup of tea, but at least she can get them together and put them in the washer.

Kelly: Dale takes care of almost everything, laundry, cooking, utility payments, you name it. It’s only fair to help him out once in a while.

Kelly: But of course, as soon as he wakes up, I’ll have to talk to him seriously about Lauri; and I’ll need to be extra vigilant, I can’t give her the slightest chance to get in Dale’s pants.

It’s not jealousy, I’m not trying to be a toxic girlfriend either, I’m just defending my own, that’s not a bad thing, is it?
