Time to go to sleep, Dale is still intrigued by the last words Lauri told him during dinner today.

Dale: What did she mean, I didn’t take the time to get to know her better?

Dale: Maybe I’ve been a lousy friend, first I invite her to be our roomie and then I don’t even ask her how her day was. Is that what she’s talking about?

Kelly: You’re suddenly very quiet, baby, did I miss anything over dinner?
Dale: Well, not exactly. It’s just Lauri said something that got me thinking.
Kelly: Really? What did she say?
Dale: Something like I didn’t know her well, because I hadn’t given myself the time to get to know her.

Kelly: Well, that’s kind of true, but it’s not your fault, you have enough with classes, this quarter has been particularly hard, you don’t get much time left to socialize.
Dale: Yeah, but… maybe I should pay more attention and build a friendship with her like the one I have with Sarah?

Kelly: Hmm, I don’t think that’s possible, they are very different.
Dale: Really, how?
Kelly: Well, Sarah has no romantic interest in you whatsoever; Lauri, on the other hand, I think she has a crush on you.
Dale: What? Nah, I don’t think so.
Kelly: I do, it’s more than obvious… But let’s not waste the last few minutes awake talking about her, okay?

Kelly: What if we forget about that for now and go back to where we left off earlier?
Dale: That’s a fantastic idea.

As always, Dale and Kelly are anything but quiet.

Sarah can’t sleep with all those noises, so she gets to play a little before going to bed.
Sarah: Yeah, Lauri’s lucky she’s asleep already, I don’t think she’d like to hear any of this.

Eventually, silence returns, everyone sleeps peacefully at the dorm. It’s one day less at college, and one day closer to graduation. ✨
