While Dale and Kelly are attending their classes, Sarah and Lauri are already back from theirs and eating lunch, breakfast leftovers actually, since neither wants to cook or has the energy to go out for take-out.

Sarah: You haven’t touched your food. What are you thinking about?
Lauri: Dale and Kelly.
Sarah: What about them?
Lauri: Is he really that into her?
Sarah: If you’re asking if you stand a chance with Cho, forget it. Others have tried and failed, i.e. my ex, Riley.
Lauri: She failed cause she thought she was better than Kelly, I don’t feel better or worse than her, just more suitable for Dale.
Sarah: What nonsense are you saying?

Lauri: I mean, Dale seems like a traditional guy. I’m sure he wants a home, kids and all that, I don’t think he’ll find it next to a fashion girl who only cares for herself.
Sarah: Hm, ‘traditional’. Cho has some of that, yes, but deep down he’s modern and open-minded, he adores Kelly, and believe me, he’s not thinking about a home and kids like at all.
Lauri: Not right now, cause he’s just focused on making a career, but maybe if he met someone who…
Sarah: Hey, snap out of it, girl. Cho will never ever leave Kelly. Period. Now finish your lunch, we have to study.
Lauri: Okay, I was just saying.

Sarah: *Sigh*. Whatever, I’ll go on ahead, I have to make a call.
Lauri: A call? To whom?
Sarah: Terry the Terrible, who else?
Lauri: So are you going to take his job offer, isn’t it too soon?
Sarah: It is, I just want to know what the job is and how much is the pay.
Lauri: I think you’re getting into the lion’s den here.
Sarah: Yeah, well, anything is better than coming out of college with a degree but no job.
Lauri: News flash, there are other jobs in this world, girl.

Sarah: I know, but the idea of going to Lucky Palms appeals to me in a big way. Imagine all those slot machines to play day and night.
Lauri: Yeah, and then those slots will swallow your salary too.
Sarah: They won’t, I’m very good at gambling and I know some cheats too, hehe.
Lauri: Terry the Terrible won’t like to know that.
Sarah: It depends in favor of who I use those traps.
Lauri: Ugh, you don’t even work together yet and you already sound like him.

Sarah: Really? Well, who knows, maybe one day I’ll become the boss, what would I call myself then? Sarah the Terrible doesn’t sound good, it has to be something cool… Meh, I’ll think of something.
Lauri: Don’t you think you’re going a little fast? You don’t even know if the guy will give you the job yet.
Sarah: He gave it to Riley, didn’t he? She doesn’t know anything about casinos and gambling, or computers for that matter, but I’m an ace at all that, whatever they throw at me will be a piece of cake.
Lauri: If you say so…

Sarah: You know what? You should totally go with me; we’d both have a blast there.
Lauri: Really? Would you take me with you?
Sarah: Sure. If I get the job, I could get you one too, or at least recommend you. Just imagine the two of us in Lucky Palms, fresh out of college, making tons of money at our age.
Lauri: Hm, I don’t know, I’d have to think about it.
Sarah: Don’t think about it too much, this is a one in a million opportunity, girl.

Lauri: *To herself *. Maybe it would be a good idea to go with Sarah to Lucky Palms. She is cute, funny, smart, we get along great, we’d have a wonderful time together, and maybe that way I can forget about Dale, but… Riley just moved there too, would that be any good for Sarah now that she’s finally over her?
Sarah: *From the bathroom* Lauri? Are you still there? You’ve gone so quiet again.
Lauri: Sorry, I was thinking about your plan to go to Lucky Palms.
Sarah: It would be quite an adventure, wouldn’t it?
Lauri: Yeah, it sure would.

MINUTES LATER…
Lauri: How was your call, were you able to talk to Terence?
Sarah: No, he was busy. But my call was not in vain, I spoke to his business partner, Jaycen Hendrix. He said they would be happy to meet me in Lucky Palms after graduation to start working. I talked to him about you too, told him you were brilliant with communication stuff, he said he might have something for you at his company’s offices. Isn’t that cool?
Lauri: It’s a good start, yes.
Sarah: Okay, so we’re off to Lucky Palms. But first we have to graduate, and for that we need to pass the exams, so enough talk, let’s get to study.
