While Dale is at school, Kelly fills her time poking around in Sarah’s PC games. They are fun, but also quite tricky.
Kelly: Oh, no, I already killed myself with that car again!

When she got tired of Sarah’s video games, which was fairly quickly, she took a shower, got dressed, finished picking up the dishes and left for her ballet class.

As she entered the Skylight Studio, she discovered Eddie Mullis standing outside, looking at her.
Kelly: There’s that Mullis guy again, is he stalking me? He looks rather innocent, but you never know.

Ballet class has started, all is well, except that wearing a leotard isn’t Kelly’s cup of tea.

The whole outfit itself is a bit too much, but it’s also cool, as it makes her feel like a real ballerina. 😊

She’s far from being one at this point, though.
Kelly: That’s okay, I mean, I’m gonna be a model, not a ballet dancer.

Gradually, she starts to get the hang of it, which makes her way more confident.

It feels good seeing all her muscles work, not a bad thing at all!

It’s almost like yoga, a little effort + a bit of concentration. Kelly is starting to feel really self-assured…

Until she looks at her other classmates…

The two are great dancers, they do everything perfectly, especially the boy, what’s his name? Ah, yes, Oscar Stephens; the girl is Candy Kirkpatrick, they’re both in the Physical Education program with Kelly.

The class continues for another half hour or so. One more girl whose name Kelly doesn’t know, has joined in. Ugh, she’s even better at this than the others.

Kelly feels slightly humiliated, but she doesn’t give up.
Kelly: It’s okay, they’ve been here longer, I’m just starting out. I’ll keep practicing until I’m the best, or I’ll never step in here again.

Before leaving, Kelly thought a good idea to ask her classmates for advice. They both gave her valuable tips for a better performance.
Oscar: Always keep your balance, balance is everything. If you keep that, the rest is a piece of cake.

Candy: You have to learn to ignore the pain, just concentrate on your moves, after a few days, your feet and arms will start to feel light as a feather.

It’s hard for Kelly to acknowledge their superiority, but listening to their advice has a double benefit, it will improve her performance and her social networking.

Eventually Oscar walked out of the room.

Candy continued talking for another 15 minutes; it seems that ballet is her lifestyle. Kelly didn’t interrupt her, all in all, her conversation was interesting, and a new friend in the academy could never hurt. Still, she wishes she could go home now. 😒
