It’s the next day, Terence is upset cause Jayce’s talk with Riley was a failure. He couldn’t convince her to go out with him, let alone get any important info out of her, except the old tale that her father disinherited her because of a disagreement regarding her studies. Ultimately, Terry will have to extract the information himself by going out with her, as she wanted.

Cynthia of course disagreed, which provoked another argument between them; she ended losing her appetite and getting up from the table in anger. Great, now on top of everything else, Terence had to eat lunch alone.

The problem was not only Riley, but Cynthia was also angry cause Terence threatened to fire Deanne, her favorite nanny, all because she took a few minutes off yesterday. Being without any of her nannies is unthinkable for Cynthia, even if they’re not the most helpful.

Without them, she would not have time to take her evening pool bath…

Or play her favorite arcade games, which would be totally unacceptable.

Cynthia: So tell me, Deanne, what happened to you? Terence says you didn’t do anything while Davy was crying.
Deanne: I’m sorry, ma’am, but I froze when Mr. Cho walked in the room.
Cynthia: You froze, why?
Deanne: I don’t know, there’s something scary about him that makes me nervous.

Cynthia: Alright, Terry is a bit moody at times, but I’m sure he didn’t mean to scare you, he’s just upset because he saw you not doing anything.
Deanne: Is he going to fire me?
Cynthia: Oh no, I just talked to him, and he agreed to give you another chance, but from now on, you’ll have to put all your attention on Davy, whether Terry is present or not, okay?
Deanne: Okay.

Terence is getting to the second floor and from there he can hear everything.
Terence: “So I’m scary, huh? Good!”

Cynthia: So, can I count on you, Deanne?
Deanne: Of course, Mrs. Cho.
Cynthia: Thank you, hon; you may not know this, but you and the other nannies are my saving grace.

Terence: Her saving grace, yeah, right… Whatever, nannies, are Cynthia’s business, she must know what to do about them, I have much bigger fish to fry anyway. Just, if I catch that girl slacking off again, I’ll throw her out on the street myself, period.
