We’re back in Lucky Palms, at the Cho-Vanderburg residence. Cynthia just found out that Riley Woods is in town and has asked Terence out on a ‘business’ date. Of course Cynthia didn’t like the idea, who knows what that harpy is up to, so the next day she told Terence they needed to talk urgently.

Terence: Okay, Cyn, what’s so urgent that it has to be right around the time I have to leave for the casino?

Cynthia: The casino will be there tomorrow, I won’t, if you don’t stay and talk.
Terence: Well, if you put it that way…
Cynthia: So, explain to me now, why the hell is Riley Woods doing in Lucky Palms and why did she come to our house? Moreover, why did she have to ask you on a date?
Terence: A business date.

Cynthia: Whatever it is, you’re going to tell me right now what the f*uck she’s up to.
Terence: Woah, honey, language.
Cynthia: I don’t give a damn about language, just answer me.
Terence: The truth? I don’t know yet, I mean, that’s why I have to go to the meeting, to find out.
Cynthia: Whatever it is she could tell you on the spot, or later in a phone call. She didn’t need a date.

Terence: Wait – I think I know what’s going on here… you’re jealous?
Cynthia: Aw, Terry, come on!
Terence: Yes, you are, but see, you’re confused, this isn’t a romantic date. Yes, I know I’m too attractive for women, but this isn’t the case, babe. From what I understand, Riley doesn’t like guys, so…
Cynthia: Ha, nonsense! She likes guys, girls, whatever’s convenient at the time for her.

Cynthia: And yes, I admit I’m a bit jealous, but I’m not confused, that woman is bad news, I want her out of our house, and if possible, out of Lucky Palms.
Terence: And she’ll leave, I’ll see to it… as soon as I find out what she’s looking for, that is.
Cynthia: Terry…
Terence: Please, Cyn, there could be a juicy business here, we must not miss this opportunity; besides, I have to treat her well since her father, G.W., is my business partner.

Cynthia: You don’t have to worry about G.W. I did some research, he cut Riley off because of a disagreement they had. She was going to get her inheritance if she finished her degree and married a guy, but she got a girlfriend., and she dropped out of college, so G.W. decided to disinherit her.

Terence: I know about Riley and G.W.’s disagreement, that’s probably the reason why she came to ask for my help. If I give her my support, then maybe…
Cynthia: Absolutely not.
Terence: Come on, Cyn, let me at least try. Listen, if I give her what she needs, she’ll owe me a favor, and sooner or later I’ll be able to get some benefit from that, get it?

Cynthia: I sure get your point, baby, it’s a great idea and it could work for anyone else, but Riley Woods is not to be trusted; believe me, my family and I have known her for years, she’s always been manipulative and tricky, now here’s an enemy you won’t want to keep close.

Cynthia: If you’re curious about what she has to say, send Jaycen or Brandon to meet her then, but don’t go yourself. Oh, and please don’t give her a job at the casino either.
Terence: If I do, will you stop talking to me?
Cynthia: *Sigh* If you insist on going on that date, I’ll grab Davy and go back to Hidden Springs.
Terence: Are you threatening me, Cynthia Roselyn Vanderburg?

Cynthia: Threatening you? Goodness, no. I would never do such thing, darling.
Terence: Yes, I think you would, darling.
Cynthia: Okay, maybe I went a little overboard with that, but I’m just trying to protect our family, and make you wake up in the process.
Terence: Wake me up, huh?
Cynthia: Yes.

Cynthia: See, I don’t want Riley to wrap you in her lies and get you in trouble like she tried to do with Dale.
Terence: Ohh… So that’s what this is all about, Dale?
Cynthia: What? No!

Terence: Of course it is! You’re furious with Riley because she went after Dale. Well, yeah, she liked my brother, a lot; she tried really hard to get him, and for a moment Dale considered banging her, but you know what, he didn’t! And you know what else? Riley would never be interested in me, in the slightest. I mean, would you go after the less handsome Cho, a second table dish, when your real goal is wholesome adorable Dale?

Cynthia: Hey, stop right there, okay? Gee, and you say I’m the one who’s jealous! First, you’re not the ‘least handsome Cho’, not to me at least. Second, I know what you’re trying to imply here, but you’re terribly wrong, this is NOT about Dale, it’s about us, our family, and our business. Riley doesn’t want to work with you, Terry, she only works for her own benefit. Yes, she tried to use your brother, and now she wants to use you for I don’t know what dark purposes, nothing good I’m sure, so I’m asking you – No, I’m ordering you: do not go on that date.

Terence: *After a brief, shocking silence*. You order me.
Cynthia: Well, yes.
Terence glows red, though only for a few seconds. One thing he can’t stand is someone giving him orders, even worse if that someone is a woman. Yet, Cynthia’s speech has achieved its purpose: to make him suspicious and distrustful of Riley, even more, cause Dale’s messages had already put him on high alert.

Terence: Cyn, I’m not a fool, baby, I know how to take care of myself, from Riley or whoever, you know me well. Besides, what could she do to me, kill me?
Cynthia: She’s not going to shoot you, that’s for sure, she uses other kinds of weapons, her tricks and traps for example. Why risk it? We’re too well off now, we have everything we can possibly desire, why ruin it by letting that hag into our private little paradise?

Terence: Cyn, I’m not a fool, baby, I know how to take care of myself, from Riley or whoever, you know me well. Besides, what could she do to me, kill me?

Cynthia’s words make perfect sense to Terence, he’s the lord and master now, not of all of Lucky Palms, yet, but of his home sweet home and his casino. The rest of his gang is about to arrive from Hidden Springs, maybe he could ask one of them to take care of Riley, though of course it would be much more interesting (and fun) to deal with the matter himself, you know?
Cynthia: So?
Terence: Hmm.

Terence: All right.
Cynthia: ‘All right’? Does that mean you’re not meeting her?
Terence: Well, I still think it’s better to handle this myself, but I’ll think about it.
Cynthia: O…kay.
Terence: Now excuse me but I have to run to the casino. Enjoy your day with Davy, and don’t worry about anything, I’ll take care of it.
