Dale: Damn, it’s really late and I haven’t done the dishes yet, I didn’t even finish my breakfast.
Kelly: It’s okay honey, finish your omelet, I’ll do the dishes.
Dale: Okay, who are you and what did you do to the real Kelly?
Kelly: I know, I hate household chores, but I don’t mind doing it this once if it keeps you from being late for your class.

Dale: Thanks babe, I really appreciate you doing this for me.
Kelly: Well, nothing is free in this life, darling, I’ll charge you dearly later.
Dale: And I’ll gladly pay.
Kelly: Oh, yes you will.

Kelly: Ugh, that’s a lot of dishes to wash, and a lot of leftovers to put away… Well, all for the sake of my baby.

Yeah, offering to wash the dishes or is unusual for Kelly, as it is offering Lauri help with her make-up. But it is all part of her plan to become a better version of herself, which consists of being nice to everyone, including Lauri. Kelly still doesn’t trust her much, but she’d rather have her as an ally than as an enemy.
Kelly: I admit that stupid Terence gets it right sometimes.

“Enemies are best kept close. Maybe I should do the same with him and that pesky Cynthia.”

“Though for now I’m perfectly fine living far away from them.”
