Allan is back from the bathroom; Zoe is about to leave, though she still looks a bit hesitant. Will it be safe to go home and leave Allan here with Brytani?

She finally chooses to trust him and bids him a lovingly goodbye.
Zoe: Bye, honey, be good, and don’t forget your promise.

After assuring Zoe that everything will be fine, Allan returns with Britany, she breathes a sigh of relief as Zoe walks toward the exit.

They keep trying hard not to look into each other’s eyes…
Brytani: It seemed like your wife didn’t want to leave; does she feel that insecure?
Allan: Believe me, if Zoe felt insecure in the slightest, she would never have allowed me to come here in the first place.

Brytani: So you attended with her ‘permission’?
Allan: I don’t need her permission; I’m just trying not to make the same mistakes of the past.
Brytani: Mercy and I are a mistake now?
Allan: Don’t twist things around, Mercy will never be a mistake; you know well what I meant.
Brytani: …
Allan: By the way, I consulted Zoe on the matter, and she agreed to have Mercy at home sometimes.

Allan: I’ll call you later to arrange when I’ll take her. Now I hope you understand why I have to leave now, have a nice evening, dear.
Brytani: You too, thank you, Al.
Allan: You’re most welcome, dear.
Allan leaves in a hurry, he’s not running away from her, but from himself, the bar, the drinks, her stunning new look, the situation in general… It took him a lot of effort to stay sober and clean; of course Bryt understands, but it still hurts to see him go.
