Already showered and changed, waiting for Jun’s call to find out where they will meet, Patrick sits down on a bench in front of the Sports Zone to smoke a cigarette.

He’s barely been there a few minutes when he sees this Devin Ashton guy show up. He works in the film industry as a background extra, a beginner, as Pat is in politics, but he’s cocky as hell, just like his boss Emmy Starr. Of course, Emmy has something to boast about, since she’s a production manager at Plumbob Studios.

Pat wouldn’t mind befriending Devin, but he doesn’t seem interested in anyone’s friendship except his buddies Jeffrey Cook and Romeo Rake, or his idol, Matthew Hamming.

Finally, the call he was waiting for, Jun tells him she’s on her way, they’ll meet across the street at the Sports Zone, which at this hour is of course closed.

Pat hangs up the phone. It’s time to go.
Patrick: Goodbye, stupid Devin Ashton. I’m off to meet my beautiful girlfriend.

He crosses the square to find Jun. Downtown Bridgeport is somewhat empty at this hour.

As he picks up his pace, he thinks again about his encounters with the Angelistas and Devin Ashton.
Patrick: Yeah, someday I will be a prominent politician, then we will cross paths again, Mr. Ashton, you too Tiara, then we will see who ignores who.

Note: Patrick is usually not that bitter, he’s just a little frustrated because he hasn’t been able to advance in his job. 😒
