That other ‘crush’ of Tyron’s who happened to be at the cafe the afternoon of Katie’s birthday, was none other than Kayla Remington, (that’s why I told you earlier to remember that last name).

Kayla is the daughter of Robert Remington, the famous Monte Vista singer who married Farah Kamel, one of Tyron’s many aunts. Kayla has always been in love with Ty, but because he’s married, she stayed as far away from him as she could. But since she knew he was getting a divorce, and in light of rumors of a possible romance with Katie O’Dourke, Kayla decided to mark her territory once and for all.

That afternoon, after Katie left, Tyron (finally) asked Kayla out on a date, and of course she accepted, but asked him to pick her up streets ahead because she didn’t want people at the cafe to see her get in the car with him. At least not while he’s a married man.

Tyron understood, Kayla is a nice girl, the daughter of a celebrity in addition, it wouldn’t be good for her reputation, or her father’s, to be seen in his company. They would both surely be the talk of the town, especially of the O’Dourke’s.

Tyron isn’t even sure about moving on with Kayla, first because he’s still in love with Candice, if it were up to him, he wouldn’t divorce her. Second, he’s fascinated with Katie too! Oh, well, he knows that can’t be right now, but him and Kayla can. She’s beautiful, she’s within his reach, and they’re both adults, so what do they have to lose?

Anyway, to avoid being seen in public, they have decided not to go out, but to go to Tyron’s house. Candice is not there now, she’s at work, or somewhere around town with her lover Jasper Goth.

Kayla: Are you sure we can be here? Your wife might come in suddenly and find us.
Tyron: Don’t worry, she hardly ever comes to sleep anymore, she’s a chief now and works night shift at the station.
Kayla: I see, but – what about your little girl, Brandy?
Tyron: She’ll be fine, she’s sleeping and in the care of her babysitter.
Kayla: Oh, okay.

There’s nothing standing in the way now, so they don’t waste any more time on small talk and get right down to business. Kayla is a little nervous because she’s really in love with Ty and doesn’t want him to see her as a game, but she’s waited so many years for this that she falls into his arms just the same.

It’s the next day. Kayla stayed over, she and Tyron quickly get dressed (in the same clothes from the day before) and go to the kitchen to get something to eat. Tyron isn’t a five-star chef like his brother Dale, but he found some leftover sushi in the fridge that isn’t too bad.

So far so good, the night together was exciting and very satisfying, they got along great, not only in bed, but out of it, maybe because Kayla is the daughter of a celebrity and Tyron is an artist on his way to be a star. They haven’t talked about a steady relationship yet, but they feel quite comfortable with each other. The point is, things are working out for them, maybe it’s time for Ty to forget about Candice and Katie?

Kayla knows that sleeping with a married man wasn’t the wisest or most appropriate thing to do, but she’s an adult now, she knows what she’s doing and, more importantly, what she wants. What she wants is Tyron, and neither Candice nor Katie will take him away from her. She’ll do anything to have him, even follow him to Starlight Shores if necessary.
