A bit later, Kelly is ready to leave for her class, but first she goes to check on Dale.
Kelly: You’re not dressed yet.
Dale: Yeah, sorry, I was just going into the shower.

Kelly: Did you send the message to Terry?
Dale: Yes, now I just have to wait for his response.
Kelly: Ok, well good luck, honey.
Dale: Thanks, babe.
Kelly: Don’t forget that I love you, and that you count on me for anything.

Kelly leaves the dorm, not sure if she was right to tell Dale they could go to Lucky Palms when it’s the last place she wants to be, but if it happens, she’ll put up with it, because she loves him, and really wants to support him.

Dale feels a sudden sense of security knowing that Kelly supports him and is even willing to travel with him to Lucky Palms if necessary. This further convinces him that she’s the right woman for him. What he’s not sure of is whether he’s ready to meet with Cynthia again. Just like Kelly, Cynthia is the last person in this world he’d like to see now.
