Arriving at the Prosper Room, Patrick ran into Matilda Smart. Matilda and Pat already know each other cause she’s roommates with his good old friend Harry Marks.

Matilda came accompanied by Sugar Bijou; Pat just found out that she is also best friends with Suzy Strummer. It’s a small world!

As they wait for the elevator, Patrick takes out his cigarettes and offers one to Matilda.

Matilda: Oh, no thanks! I can’t stand the smell of cigarette smoke. Patrick quickly apologizes to her.

Patrick: *To himself*: No wonder she and Suzy are friends. “Birds of a feather”… Doesn’t anyone smoke in this town anymore?

Finally, the elevator opened; at the same time, Johanna King appears in the lobby.

Johanna: Are you guys going up or not?
Her presence saves Patrick from the embarrassing moment with Matilda and the cigarettes. Now up they go, Patrick will smoke some other time.
