As if sensing they were talking about her, Lauri came into the living room to begin her morning exercise routine. Dale thought it best not to be present and headed off in search of Kelly.

Sarah: You barely arrived in this dorm and you’ve already caused a stir.
Lauri: I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Sarah: Yes, you do. But you better lower your expectations, Dale Cho is waaay out of your league, kid.
Lauri: Well, I’m not a boyfriend-stealer like your ex, if that’s what you’re implying.

Sarah: I’m not implying, just preventing. You don’t stand a chance and you don’t want to end up with a broken heart.

Lauri: Well thanks for the warning. And no offense but I’m not a child, I don’t need your protection.
Sarah: No offense either, but I’d rather be clear than to see your butt hurt like other girls around here. So, I’m telling you as a friend: Dale may not be the most faithful of boyfriends, but leaving Kelly? That’s never gonna happen; therefore, consider yourself warned.
