Dale: Sure, go ahead and ask, babe.
Kelly: *Notices Sarah in the dining room*. Uh, forget it, I’ll talk to you later.
Sarah: If you want to talk about Lauri, go ahead, she’s still in class, and I’m not listening.
Kelly: *Under her breath*. Sure you’re not.

Kelly: Thanks for the heads up, but I’m in no hurry, I’d better wait.
Sarah: Whatever works for you.
Dale: …

Dale: We can talk later if you prefer, but I’m telling you right now you have nothing to worry about.
Kelly: You sure?
Dale: Yeah. And as for Sarah, she can be trusted.
Kelly: Well, I’d rather talk to you alone.

Kelly doesn’t mistrust Sarah, but she and Lauri have been joined at the hip lately. Who’s to say she won’t tell her anything she hears? It’s best to wait to talk to Dale in private.
