Kelly: *Looks at phone screen*. Damn it’s him.
Dale: Him, who?
Kelly: The guy from the gym, Brian Petersen.
Dale: Petersen? I know him, from the jocks social group.
Kelly: *Nervous*. Where the hell did he get my number?
Dale: From the college directory, probably. What does he want?
Kelly: Oh, nothing important. *Puts the phone away*.

Dale: Tell me, babe, is that guy bothering you? Because if he is, I swear to God I –
Kelly: Oh, no, not at all. He’s pretty harmless, he just wanted to make friends, I guess. Besides, the last thing I want is another fight.

Dale: I know, but – are you sure I have nothing to worry about?
Kelly: If what you’re asking is whether Brian interests me, the answer’s no.
Dale: Seriously? You’re not interested in him?
Kelly: Of course I’m not! Why would I be?
Dale: Well, I’ve seen him, the guy’s a looker, lots of girls are falling for him.

Kelly: Other girls, probably. I am not going to throw myself at him. Geez, he’s not even my type. What’s with all the insecurity, D.? Have you forgotten what we just talked about?
Dale: Uh, no, but…
Kelly: Dale. He’s just a guy I met, it’s not a big deal. I only have eyes for you, and you know it.
Dale: You swear?
Kelly: Yes!

Dale was so happy with Kelly’s response, that he forgot they were not alone and kissed her right there in front of the girls, who, up to that point, were still having their hushed discussion.
