Well, some real life family social events got in the way this weekend, so I was unable to prepare my next post of Of Tea and Treachery/The Wilsons, so I’m sharing more pics of my experiments with Reshade.

So yes, of course I installed Reshade for The Sims 4 too! Here are some of my first pictures (taken last October) with my beloved Allan and his gorgeous wife Zoe as models this time. 😊

I took these when I was just starting to experiment with DOF in Sims 4, so — well, they’re not perfect.

I also tried the Cartoon effect, as I like the touch that it adds to the sims, especially to the eyes.

What I didn’t like are those black outlines, so I had to tone it down a bit to make it look more natural.

Combining DOF with Cartoon. The background here is a bit too blurry for my taste, but these are my first experiments with Reshade. I’ve been practicing for only a little over a month, since then, I have refined or exaggerated each effect, depending on the case, to get a result according to my taste.

I struggled a lot to get a good preset for the Wilson household, cause their new home in Del Sol Valley has many windows, and too much light comes in (I love that!). On the contrary, the basement has no windows, which makes it a rather dark area, so I constantly have to play with the intensity and color of the lamps. But little by little, I have been able to improve the preset for this particular save.

In these last pics I used the MXAO effect too, which I’m still learning to handle, (you may have noticed it in my Sims 3 photos). Later I will show more Sims 4 pictures using these and other AO effects.
*Sorry for the spoiler on the Wilson’s move to their new home. It’s impossible to show some photos of my work with Reshade without spoiling a bit from The Wilsons Season 3, lol.
*Also, credits and thanks (again) to emma 4101 and JL_Sims 4 (Gallery) for their wonderful lot Famous Mansion.
*A million thanks as well to @pictureamoebae for her amazing reshade tutorials, through which I was finally able to understand how Reshade works.
