Anika: Seriously, Dad, I hope that coke doesn’t have rum in it. Allan: Of course not, honey, what do you take me for?
Anika: I’m glad, because you promised mom….

Allan: Don’t worry, sweetheart, I know what I promised to your mom, and I’m going to keep it.
Anika: M-hm… Well, you look a little too tipsy, you know.
Allan: That’s because I’m happy that you’ve grown into such a beautiful girl, though a little worried you’ll get in trouble with boys.

Anika: Ew, dad, I’m not going to talk about that with you.
Allan: Why not, who better to give you advice than me?
Anika: If I need advice I’ll ask you for it, I promise, but now, let’s drop the subject, okay?
Allan: Ok, just tell Alexander Goth that I’ll keep a close eye on him.

Allan: *Sips almost all of his soda*.
Anika: Are you sure that doesn’t have alcohol in it?
Allan: …
Anika: How will you keep a ‘close eye’ on Alexander, have you put a private eye onto him or something?

Allan: *Standing up*. I don’t need a private eye, I have my ‘insiders’ at the Goth manor.

Right, Anika almost forgot her dad had an affair with Bella Goth, and now he’s even friends with Mortimer. Could that be a problem in the future for her and Alexander? Or quite the opposite, an advantage? We’ll see.
