Allan and Octavia are arriving at the pier in Plumbite Cove, she asked him to meet her there. At first, he thought it was a date, but that was impossible because Octavia is super faithful to her beloved Thorne. So, Allan figured she wanted to talk to him about something, and he had a slight idea of what it might be.

Allan: So, if this isn’t a date, what are we doing here then?
Octavia: I wanted to talk to you about what happened with Brytani at the awards ceremony.
Allan: Oh, I see. She sent you?
Octavia: Not at all, I’m here on my account, cause she’s my best friend, you know?

Octavia: Look, I know what Bryt did wasn’t right, but…
Allan: Of course it wasn’t right, it could have caused me a serious problem with Zoe.
Octavia: Look, I know you have struggled so hard to keep your marriage together, you don’t want to lose your wife again, I totally get that.

Octavia: I know as well that your relationship with Bryt is over, but Mercy is still your daughter, and you haven’t seen her in months. That isn’t right either, Al. Maybe you should…

Allan: Okay, okay, I get your point. I’ll visit Mercy as soon as I can, if that’s what you want.
Octavia: It’s not ‘what I want’, hon. It’s the right thing to do. You’re a good father, that’s beyond proven; Bryt’s too proud to ask you for anything, but she’s really having a hard time. She’s… well, being a mom isn’t her thing, you know? So, a little support from you would be nice.

Allan was left a bit depressed after his talk with Octavia. She’s right, he’s a good father, and he doesn’t feel good about abandoning Mercy. If only he could take care of her without upsetting Zoe…

Since he can’t drink, take or snort any substances after his rehab, the only thing he has left to calm his anxiety is some sweets. Yeah, sugary treats make him gain weight, but here we are. 🙄
