Allan is caught between a rock and a hard place; on the one hand he would like to say hello to Brytani, ask her about their daughter, but on the other hand he doesn’t want to make Zoe angry.

Brytani seems to be waiting for a greeting, or at least a gesture of peace, from either Zoe or Allan. It’s a pretty awkward situation for everyone.
