In his other scene with Lanuola, Allan is no longer the nice resident, but a very angry and arrogant doctor, who argues and yells at his patient.

This time Allan did choose a risky acting option. The staff is still worried about his behavior today, but they know he’s a good actor, and they rely on his acting skills. In the end the scene was worth gold.
