When Kelly and Dale returned to the bedroom there was a fancy car in the garage. Apparently, it was an anticipated Graduation gift that Terence had given Dale. To Kelly it looks more like a bribe to convince him to go to Lucky Palms to work with him.

At first, Dale and Kelly had a bit of an argument, not over the car itself, but over the usual: Terence trying to meddle in Dale’s life and manipulate him to his own convenience. Dale assured he did not plan to move to Lucky Palms, no matter how many gifts his brother gave him. Kelly finally believed him, and all ended well.

Kelly even let Dale go out and drive it around the campus to test it. Dale was so fascinated with the car that he quickly hopped in and drove off. Of course, first he asked her to go with him, but she was tired of skating for hours and preferred to stay home.

She’s angry with Terence (as usual) but not with his gift; in fact, she loves fancy cars, she wouldn’t mind riding in it with Dale, or, if possible, driving it herself. You know, that’s the kind of car she deserves to ride in, she just wishes it didn’t come from Terence.
Kelly: Someday I will buy my own fancy car, with my own well-earned money.
